David Cay Johnston: Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones did it two years ago. Rudolph Giuliani did it just before Christmas. Now there's a very good chance that before March 12, Donald Trump will join them in filing personal bankruptcy.

Good thing he's not a member of NATO... Vlad would have to invade him.

Not that hasn't already.

Losers losing. Trumpers seem to like it for some reason.

Of course he's already morally bankrupt

Great. Bankruptcy filings will now become all the rage among the Red Hat Tribe. Bankruptcy lawyers (who get paid upfront) will be making bank on the mouth-breathing horde in their $400 gold shoes, wearing perfume reminiscent of a barn full of plow horses, and having only a leased truck and single-wide trailer as assets...

Bankruptcy has been legally used for a long time. Hate mongers are now against it because of their gut rotting hate for Trump.

Personally, I find criminals to be heinous individuals. Guess you don't.

Lucky number 7 (bankruptcy)

Bankruptcy is not going to exempt him in the Trump Org. case or the E. Jean Carroll case . . . or in any case that's already been adjudicated.

So, if true, which will it be? Chapter 7 or Chapter 13?

BTW, this will be his 7th bankruptcy. Maybe that's what it means when he calls himself a savvy genius.

Are "billionaires" allowed to file bankruptcy?

Trump's a billionaire, right?

"Bankruptcy has been legally used for a long time."

But it was recently changed to make it harder for the poor to even declare bankruptcy. To protect the banks.

The wealthy just consider it a business decision. Things go on as normal after and it's a great relief.

If a private citizen declares bankruptcy its a stain in their morality and judgement and are punished for it. And there is no sigh of relief.

"There are hundreds of rich people who use Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a "trump" card to dispose of debts accumulated through their extravagant lifestyle. Rihanna, Larry King, Nicholas Cage, NFL players, M.C.Hammer, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson; the list goes on and on."

Most rich people opt for Chapter 11 bankruptcy simply because it is a convenient option for them. It gives them an option to save their assets.

Donald Trump declares bankruptcy and can declare it again and still live in a mansion and flaunt his wealth.

The poor face a hard times in discriminating between the necessary living expenses and disposable income. Most don't even qualify for chapter 13 and have to sell off everything in a chapter 7.

The wealthy just reorganize their assets and get rid of debt.

A bankrupt billionaire kind of destroys the notion that he is a billionaire.

But then again he was always a paper billionaire using paper that he fraudulently said he was a billionaire. From that standpoint I can say I am a trillionaire because the paper I wrote down that I was a trillionaire on says so.

Yet he continues to convince the most stupid people in this nation to give him money. Why would a billionaire need you to give him money if he was a billionaire? It is not logical.

But it is all part of the grift.

Because he is not a billionaire. Never was.

When he says his vermin infested golf club was worth more than Buckingham Palace you know he is nothing but full o ----.

The people pushing for dementia don to file bankruptcy to be relieved of his debts are some of the same blowhards that are against student loan debts being relieved.

Are "billionaires" allowed to file bankruptcy?

Are "students" allowed to discharge their student loans in bankruptcy

You know who championed and signed that change in bankruptcy law?
Joe Biden and Bill Clinton.

Of course, Joe Biden is also out there forgiving some small amount of student loans.
Right wingers can't imagine being wrong, and especially can't imagine taking steps to make it right.
To Right-wingers, admitting you were wrong, that is showing weakness.
