Upset by the surge in union drives, several of the best-known corporations in the US are seeking to cripple the country's top labor watchdog, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), by having it declared unconstitutional.

"In recent weeks, Elon Musk's SpaceX as well as Amazon, Starbucks and Trader Joe's have filed legal papers that advance novel arguments aimed at hobbling and perhaps shutting down the NLRB " the federal agency that enforces labor rights and oversees unionization efforts.

Those companies are eager to thwart the NLRB after it accused Amazon, Starbucks and Trader Joe's of breaking the law in battling against unionization and accused SpaceX of illegally firing eight workers for criticizing Musk.

Roger King, a longtime management-side lawyer who is senior labor counsel for the HR Policy Association, said "it will be a lose-lose" if the federal courts overturn the 89-year-old National Labor Relations Act, which has governed labor relations since Franklin Roosevelt was president.

"We'll have the law of the jungle, the law of the streets," King said. "It will be who has the most power. It's potential for chaos."

It's hard to keep a foot on the throats of the wage slaves when that pesky gooberment keeps getting in the way.

Back to government shooting strikers. Strikers beating picket line crossers.

Using government Force to make people go back to work if they collective bargain.

Unions sabotaging workplaces.

The whole war on Labor by Capital.

Gee,who wants that back?

Jeff and Elon, of course.

Pigs at a trough.

It's never enough money, power,or domination for them is it?

And Congress keeps passing more laws making unions less viable while The SCOTUS keeps weakening precedent to uphold whatever laws that help workers they do manage to pass.

The system looks rigged to me.

Trump is more than willing to help them cripple this nation.

I think big Corp needs to remember that Unions were a compromise that workers gave them rather than burning the factories to the ground and killing the owners.

#5 Corporations will expect the government to protect them and continue the supply of foreign born workers.

This is one thing Biden economist were worried about wage inflation spiral ...

Immigration solves it ...

9 Million new workers just came into the country ... Unions are worthless against this onslaught.

Right. They "just came in". Like all in one day.

Lol

Regardless every one of them would most likely be proud to part of an American union making union wages with union benefits contributing to America's strong unions that are the foundation and history of America's strong economy.

Speaking of village idiots. There is a village somewhere that is missing you.

No one can answer that "what-if" strawman because a global pandemic of Covid did occur.

But we can tell you how Biden helped us all through it by his decisions giving us one of the best if not THE best recovery on the planet.

Now I have one for you that could answer if you cared to.

Do you know how much actual money those "9 million immigrants" contributed to our economy?

Hint:

Undocumented immigrants, who are employed, often contribute to payroll taxes, including Social Security and Medicare taxes. According to the Social Security Administration, undocumented immigrants paid an estimated $13 billion in payroll taxes in 2019.

So I would expect that number to be doubled if the number of immigrants has doubled.

What do you think about that comrade?

I basically hate Republicans and rich people.
They take everything just and nice in the world,
where honest people are just trying to improve their
lot in life, and then willfully ---- upon it...

A truly reprehensible lot.

Really? Highly doubt that number, as if any are 'contributing' would be if they had a stolen social security number which makes a second illegal action in addition to entering our country illegally. Foolish to believe the administrations fake number as just a guesstimate. Just like the govt has no real idea how many illegals are really here. I remember back in 2000 they were bandying about 11 million and even those numbers were pretty much a lowball guess.
