Former President Donald Trump has made the January 6th defendants central to his campaign. It is "most likely," Trump has said, that he would pardon "a large portion of them."

Former President Donald Trump has made the January 6th defendants central to his campaign. It is "most likely," Trump has said, that he would pardon "a large portion of them." One of his "first acts" in office, Trump wrote last month, would be to "Free the January 6 Hostages being wrongly imprisoned!"

It can be difficult for journalists and the public to isolate which January 6th defendants Trump has in mind. However, Trump has taken a particular interest in the January 6th defendants held in Washington, D.C.

On Mar. 22, Trump posted on Truth Social a flier advertising a nightly vigil for the inmates held by the D.C. Department of Corrections. "Stand in solidarity with our January 6th Political Prisoners in the DC jail as we honor their bravery," the flier reads. "At 9:00pm, everyone stops what they are doing to stand in solidarity as we all sing the National Anthem together." Trump captioned the flier with his own announcement of the vigil.

What I cannot understand is all the criminals who dressed up for 1/6, as if it was ComiCon. And what about the folks in normal street clothes--did they feel out of place? Whatever they were playing at on 1/6, many get to play 'victim of sexual assault in prison'. Good. Can't do the time? don't do the crime...

Mike forgets the salient point: The Capitol was closed that day. "Walking through the building" was a crime.

Well, if the salient points are remembered, then their whole ~both sides do it~ false equivalency falls apart rather quickly.

The only way they can justify what happened is by lying about it, and trying to falsely accuse Democrats for doing similar things.

ESPECIALLY when discussing the other six routes.

I've noticed NONE of our J6 sympathizers ever mention Trump trying to steal Michigan votes. Or AZ votes. Or PA votes. Or the multiple routes in GA alone.

Thank God ONE of them, seizing voting machines, got nipped in the bud.

40+ "hostages" attacked me on Jan 6. These criminals/convicted felons the Trump wants to pardon, claiming he supports law and order, the rule of law. ... @SpeakerJohnson said these people "happen to walk through the Capitol". He was running/hiding in fear from the mob.
