... Rudy Giuliani, the disgraced former New York City mayor who tried to overturn former President Donald Trump's election loss, was disbarred in the state of New York on Tuesday, yet another repercussion for the team that spread lies about mass voter fraud after Joe Biden's 2020 presidential victory.

Giuliani, who is facing charges in Georgia and Arizona and is an unindicted co-conspirator in the federal election interference case brought against Trump by special counsel Jack Smith, had no "good faith basis" to believe the lies he spread about the election, according to an order entered Tuesday. Some of the false statements cited by a New York appeals court were comments Guiliani made during a post-election press conference at Four Seasons Total Landscaping which took place at the same time that some new outlets called the election for Biden.

"These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent's narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client," the decision from a New York appeals court read. ...

Hope it was worth it, Roodles. Speaking of which: what was "it," anyway?

As part of the master plan to destroy democracy, Giuliani is guilty of spreading more than lies at the Four Seasons Landscaping Company, i.e. fake electors.

Nothing about the Supreme Court immunity ruling applies to him.

Just curious, since most of the Republican Party had, as a loyalty oath, the same lies that Rudy told, why aren't more of them being brought before their bar associations?

Giuliani has every right to say and believe the election was rigged. Dems such as Hillary etc have been doing it for years. The Bar is showing political bias.

It's a shame that a matter which had no bearing on the actual outcome, only on the crap we had to read in the news is more important to Dems to weaponize than someone like Fauci who came out recently and ADMITTED covid conclusions were not based on science. Covid regulations caused real harm to businesses, which has been proven in many ways by both Reps and Dems, while election deniers just cause us to be annoyed. Great job on your priorities, liberals. Just like with ignoring all of the businesses that BLM destroyed, you ignore the working person because it's more important to you that you get rid of everyone who disagrees with your ideology.

@#8 ... It's a shame that a matter which had no bearing on the actual outcome ...

So, if someone tries to rob a bank, but fails --- you would be OK if that person were not charged?

"Covid regulations caused real harm to businesses, which has been proven in many ways by both Reps and Dems, while election deniers just cause us to be annoyed."

Look at you getting all self righteous as you continue to spread you fixed news lies.

Of course it caused harm to businesses. IT WAS A ------- GLOBAL PANDEMIC IN WHICH OVER 7 MILLION DIED!

Can you even pretend to calculate how much harm would have been caused if we had let the virus continue to rage out of control (no more testing! If we had just stopped testing there would have been no more virus!) and just let it overwhelm our fragile and already stressed healthcare systems?

Or was it just flu with only 15 cases soon to be zero?

And no "we" are not "annoyed" ... we are disgusted ... you election deniers are undermining the very fabric of our democracy with your constant lies and falsehoods.

Would Giuliani have to have a valid law license to be Trump's Attorney General.

No greater (and less competent) lapdog could he appoint.

Re 13.

Not in DC.

The DC attorney disciplinary board recommends Giuliani be disbarred there, too

Does a US Attorney General have to have a valid law license to hold that office?

I don't think so. Just needs to be approved by the Senate. Same with SCOTUS.
