the problem with climate change isn't the slight average increase it's that the range of temps is so much wider.

IE winters are much colder and summers much hoter.

My comment was tongue in cheek - but it actually was pretty cool for mid-July. #Weather

Our winters have been very mild recently and summers scorchers. Just like all the indications are on the long term trends for the area. For as warm as it has trended here overall it has been even hotter elsewhere.

We have been talking about it around here for 2-3 years how unpredictable the weather is trending. Mild and wet Winters. Earlier, drier and warmer springs. Hot Summers (this one has been wet...). Weird falls.

Except for the occasional wildfires which get a little too close sometimes, global warming has been very very good for the Lost Coast. (Shhhh don't tell anyone!)

So far ...

Doubt it. Spring comes earlier, summer lasts longer and winters are shorter. That's been true for most of the world these days.

The catastrophic effects may not be apparent in Pin Dick, Minnesota but they're in plenty of other places if you'd care to look.

Highly recommend everyone watch EXTRAPOLATIONS on Apple tv.

Fictional sci fi based on our likely climate outcomes that spans the next few decades. Each episode takes place a couple decades after the prior so you see the change happen in large steps.

lol

California is a huge state. There are multiple environments here to choose from. We don't get wildfires where I live (as of yet) but as I mentioned the smoke from them does waft through occasionally.

But it's true. I either do live in one of the most wonderful parts of California or this is some really really good weed.

Thanks!

I love projections of possible futures.

I highly recommend a book called The Ministry of the Future.

I look forward to Hollywood making a movie out of it.

It's not as luxurious as when it was first built.

But the Paris Hilton is still standing strong.
