Donald Trump's campaign is apparently running on the platform that felons can run for president but shouldn't be able to vote.

Trump should have stayed in New York.

They're another state besides Minnesota that allows felons to vote ... if they aren't incarcerated.

Maybe he didn't know he was a felon when he said that. He didn't know Harris was black. You know... one day he was president then suddenly he's a felon... how does that happen?

...somebody ought to look into that.

Here in the free state of Florida we passes a Ciyizens initiative to restore voting rights to felons when they have served their sentences so zzzzzdesantis and the Republicans decided that all fees left over after their release must be paid off before they can vote thereby ignoring the voters and the democratic process. This year we have two such initiatives on the ballot both are expected to pass but oncw again and the GQP wi Both issues bring out the b,ll be using every dirty trick they can to prevent the will of the voters grom being carried out. One initiative is for abortion rights and the other is to legalise marijauna; both issues bring out the busy bodies who think their opinions should over rule a majotity of voters.Someone needs to take an indelible magic narker and cross out "free state" on the new signs placed at great expense to taxpayers just to paint a lie that Ron Desantis has made Florida a bastion of freedom when, in truth, Desantis doesn't believe in freedom at all.

They did the same things here when in control where they could. The thing is in Michigan if they take up the legislation and pass it (changed or not) before the election it comes off the ballot. There was one for mandatory sick time. They janked it around and now I have less sick time than I had before because my employer used the loophole they put in about PPH time.

Fortunately they are not in control now but prior to another ballot measure for non-partisan redistricting that passed overwhelmingly they had Michigan so gerrymandered they had a super majority.

So how many convicted felons are in Congress currently anyhow?

It looks like the only one right now is actually Menendez. He's leaving on the 20th.

And that's a FANTASTIC situation and I'm so glad to hear a politician doing that. Just like Lincoln, who has multiple quotes on record saying he can never accept a black person as his equal and other things like that. But, regardless of how he felt, he did what was right for the country and its people. It's great to see Trump emulating that type of governance and is the type we need holistically. The fact that liberals mock it speaks volumes...but also shows why Dems fought for slavery, I guess.

That's an interesting way to say that you are either completely out of touch with reality or just plain insane.

Fortunately for convicted felon and twice impeached Lewser Trumpy he was convicted in New York. A blue state that also allows felons to vote. If they are not in prison.

And Florida law apparently allows felons to vote if the state they were convicted in also allows felons to vote.

Now comparing Trump to Lincoln? Humtake gets dumber on a daily basis. And his posts become increasingly laughable!
