US Leaks Intelligence on Israel's Iran Attack Plans

The United States is investigating the leak of a pair of highly classified intelligence documents describing Israel's preparations for a retaliatory strike on Iran, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said on Sunday. The documents appear to have been prepared by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, describing U.S. interpretations of Israeli Air Force and Navy planning based on satellite imagery from Oct. 15-16.

... A team of independent bloggers in the Middle East who purportedly spread classified documents detailing Israel's plans for a strike against rival Iran have explained how the information leaked.

On Friday, the self-described "news aggregator" Middle East Spectator shared documents appearing to have originated from the U.S. intelligence community on Telegram. UPI has reviewed the documents but has not been able to verify their authenticity.

The documents were marked as "top secret" and appear to have come from the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which generates intelligence from satellite and aerial imagery.

Markings on the documents indicate that they required special handling to protect data provided by a contributing foreign government, Israel, and could only be shared with America's "Five Eyes" allies - Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. ...

"We are independent journalists and are not tied to any government entity or organization," Middle East Spectator said in a post, hitting back at claims in American media that the collective has ties to Iran.

Middle East Spectator shared that one of its acquaintances had received the documents from an anonymous source on Telegram who refused to identify themselves after they first appeared in a private Telegram group with just 7,000 members. ...

A manufactured excuse for why America and Israel are now quite hesitant to attack Iran.

It is simply a misdirection to save face. America and Israel need to spin their inaction on Iran after weeks of belligerent warnings and the typical neocon media blitz manufacturing consent for an imminent attack.

Russia has decided it is in its best longterm interest to go "all-in" on supporting and protecting Iran and has made it clear to Israeli leadership that any attack on Iran will be met with an overwhelming response that will include Russian participation. So if America decides to enter the fray, they will be engaging Russia directly, which is the last thing that they want.

All needs to do is look at how many Russian warships are currently in the Persian golf awaiting Israel's promised move.

I find it quite ironic that the world has to rely on Russia of all countries in order to reign in Israel's psychopathic aggressions. What a shameful moment to be an American.

100% right. Iran's missile attack spooked Israel like never before. Iron dome and the US air defense was rendered useless. Then, Russia sent Iran the S400 system and China the laser anti-drone tech. The new rumor is that Russia also sent Iran the hypersonic, high kinetic energy weapon that hits like a low yield nuke.

Israel allowed the US to leak this to buy time and convince US to send another THAAD battery. But, Israel knows the game has now changed and Iran is no longer all talk. Also, with the assassination of Nazralla after having a back channel deal between Iran and US, Iran has now stated no more back channel discussion. So, allowing Israel a face saving retaliation strike is off the table. Israel striking Iran now will result in Israel losing all the infrastructure which makes it a modern state.
