Yeah, nobody cares.

They ------ themselves with that horrific rendition of "Come Together".

See ya, wouldn't want to be ya.

Hate Aerosmith. I blame the media. Huge catalogue but the media only plays about 4 tunes. Over, and over, and over.

And over. Kinda like Zeppelin.

Their first album is a jam.

You should apply this logic to everything you hate.

meh... never been a fan

They had two very solid albums, and a whole
lotta 'Meh' in between.

One of the best things to happen when all of the
Boomers kick it, will be the freeing up of Jukeboxes
all over America.

In some Red States (of which I've had the misfortune of
living in two), all you hear are 70's rock tunes and
country songs, ALL the damned day, every damned day,
ad nauseum...

Legally:

I agree wholeheartedly. The rule of cover versions is that the cover MUST bring more to the table than the original, otherwise the cover MUST NOT be released...

This just makes me suspect that the Rolling Stones are really very elaborate robots that don't age.

What's with the hate for Aerosmith?

@#1 ... Yeah, nobody cares. ...

I wouldn't go as far as saying "nobody cares." Some do, and they bought tickets.

That aside, I've never been one to go to the concerts of the groups I enjoyed in my youth.

Stated differently, my memories of Pink Floyd, Who, Moody Blues, Eagles, Judy Collins, etc., etc., etc. that I have from the concerts I attended back when their songs were new ... well, I do not want those memories to be replaced.

If I want to spend a ridiculous amount for a concert ticket, I prefer to spend it on a current artist.

fwiw, I just checked, I have ticket stubs for:

Who - $10
Eagles and Seals & Croft - $8

They were super cool to me. I hung out with the three founding members of the band (John Hamilton, Steven Tyler and Joey Kramer) for an entire evening back in 1988. I was in graduate school and trying to get sober. I was in a strip club (not the best place to get sober) when they came in wit their driver. They were trying to get sober too. It was just them trying to not drink.

I was a lot younger and fearless and I went up to say hi. When it turned out they were in recovery too and trying to get sober, they invited me along for the evening. And off we went. Basically looking for a better strip club although as a broke-ass student I had no clue. We ended up in a diner late that night and that's where I got them to sign the back of the menu.

I saw the Rolling Stones in L.A. in '75.
I probably would have seen them in the 80's and 90's but didn't have the opportunity.
Now? Especially when half of them are dead? Nah.

Some bands don't charge ridiculous prices, Tom Petty in 2013 cost me $45.
And some people go forever, I'd see Buddy Guy today.
Some bands are fun even with one remaining member, I saw WAR a couple years ago and they sounded fine and tickets were reasonable.
But I won't go see an old act at one of our many Native American casinos.
That's just weird.
