The foreign ministers of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq have "condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon" in a joint statement and warned that Israel is pushing the region toward an "all-out war." The ministers met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York yesterday, where they urged the international community and the Security Council to "assume their relevant responsibilities to stop the war." "Israel bears full responsibility for this deterioration, which will have serious consequences for the entire region," they said Wednesday.

Stopping the "ongoing dangerous escalation" in the Middle East "begins with stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza," the officials said.

Some background: Israel has vowed to speed up its military offensives against Hezbollah without reprieve as it executes a new war objective: to return tens of thousands of residents evacuated from their homes in the north due to cross-border attacks.

I also believe people in Lebanonese would like their living rooms back.

I was reading about Lebanon, and it was really nice. Christians and Sunni Muslims comprised the majority in the coastal cities; Shia Muslims were primarily based throughout southern Lebanon and in the Beqaa Valley in the east; and Druze and Christians populated the country's mountainous areas. Then the "Palestinians" moved in ... and that was the end of the glorious age of Lebanon.

Is anyone even suspicious of this expanding Middle East war ever since the NYT reported that Israel knew about the October 7 invasion before it happened and did nothing to stop it. Throughout history false flags have been used by devious leaders to create an excuse for evil and bad things.

Where's the UN? The NATO "Peacekeepers"?

They bombed Serbia for 78 days for less.

Why is there no Arms Embargo on Israel?

Why are US and NATO leaders still saying Israel is fighting a defensive war?

What happened to the "Rules based Order"?

Israel gets Special Handling no matter what.

It makes the Entire "Rules Based Order" look like total BS.

Which it always Was.

15 Rules For Discussing Over 80 Years of Zionist Terrorism and Warmongering

Rule 1: Recorded history began on October 7 2023. Maybe some things happened before that date, but nobody can remember.

Rule 2: Anything bad that Israel does is justified by Rule 1. This is true even if it does things that would be considered completely unjustifiable if it were done by a nation like Russia or Iran.

Rule 3: Israel has a right to defend itself, but nobody else does.

Rule 4: Israel never bombs civilians, it bombs terrorists. If shocking numbers of civilians die it's because they were actually terrorists, or because terrorists killed them, or because a terrorist stood too close to them. If none of those reasons apply then it's for some other mysterious reason we are still waiting for the IDF to investigate.

Rule 5: Criticizing anything Israel does means you hate Jewish people. There is no other reason anyone could possibly oppose military explosives being dropped on areas packed full of children besides a seething, obsessive hatred for a small Abrahamic faith.

Rule 6: Nothing Israel does is ever as bad as the hateful criticisms described in Rule 5. Criticism of Israel's actions is always worse than Israel's actions themselves, because those critics hate Jews and wish to commit another Holocaust. Preventing this must consume 100 percent of our political energy and attention.

Rule 7: Israel can never be the victimizer, it can only ever be the victim. If Israel attacks Lebanon, it's because Hezbollah attacked it completely unprovoked while Israel was innocently minding its own business trying to commit a little genocide in peace. If people protest against Israel bombing entire cities into dust, then Israel is the victim because the protests made Israel's supporters feel sad.

Rule 8: The fact that Israel is literally always in a state of war with its neighbors and with displaced indigenous populations must be interpreted as proof that Rule 7 is true instead of proof that Rule 7 is ridiculous nonsense.

Rule 9: Arab lives are much, much less important to us than western lives or Israeli lives. Nobody is allowed to think too hard about why this might be.

Rule 10: The media always tell the truth about Israel and its various conflicts. If you doubt this then you are likely in violation of Rule 5.

Rule 11: Unsubstantiated claims which portray Israel's enemies in a negative light may be reported as factual news stories without any fact checking or qualifications, while extensively evidenced records of Israeli criminality must be reported on with extreme skepticism and doubtful qualifiers like "Lebanon says" or "according to the Hamas-run health ministry". This is important to do because otherwise you might get accused of being a propagandist.

Rule 12: Israel must continue to exist in its current iteration no matter what it costs or how many people need to die. There is no need to present any logically or morally grounded reasons why this is the case. If you dispute this then you are likely in violation of Rule 5.

Rule 13: The US government has never lied about anything ever, and is always on the right side of every conflict.

Rule 14: (Americans only) Nothing that happens in the middle east is as urgent or significant as making sure the correct person wins the US presidential election. Ignore any inconvenient facts which distract you from this mission of unparalleled importance.

Rule 15: Israel must be protected because it is the last bastion of freedom and democracy in the middle east, no matter how many journalists it has to assassinate, no matter how many press institutions it needs to shut down, no matter how many protests its supporters need to dismantle, no matter how much free speech it needs to eliminate, no matter how many civil rights it needs to erase, and no matter how many elections its lobbyists need to buy.

Videos from Tulkarm and Jenin show bulldozers destroying infrastructure and businesses, as well as soldiers impeding local emergency responders.

Israel is pushing the region toward an "all-out war" The foreign ministers of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq have "condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon."

Unlike the Lebanese that fired thousands of rockets at Israel over the last year.

Does Israel?

Cut off all aid to Israel. Get Bibi back to the negotiating table.
Too many innocents being killed on both sides.

"Where's the UN? The NATO "Peacekeepers"?"

You think Iran or their Lebanese puppets would allow UN Peacekeepers to interfere with their attacks?

Do you think the Islamic Resistance in Gaza would either?

There is only one real rule when discussing Palestinian Terrorism and Warmongering.

1. Forget (or at least pretend to forget) that the objective of the Palestinian Resistance is to implement the Final Solution to the Jewish Question in the Levant.

Meanwhile, the Final Solution to the Palestinian Question keeps grinding along.

Maybe I missed it, but have any of the Arab states condemned Hamas for their blatant and unyielding violation of the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law?

Wanna know why Palestinians are dying? Because it's good for the Islamic Resistance and their allies. It's by design. That's why they built their bunkers and tunnel underneath densely populated urban areas. Gaza is full of fields and more rural areas where Hamas could have built bunkers without endangering non-combatants. They chose not.

If an adversary were to conduct strikes on high-level leaders in the US or other western country, the civilian casualties would be next to nothing. Why? Because western military leaders would not be hiding behind the civilian population. That's part and parcel to Hamas's strategy. And you can see that even here they have some support.

"Meanwhile, the Final Solution to the Palestinian Question keeps grinding along."

Another effort enabled by the Islamic Resistance.

Of course it won't work. It's not the Israelis screaming "from the river to the sea."

If that's their goal, they could do it any time. They could have done it any time.

It's not the Israelis screaming "from the river to the sea."

Au contraire ...

An early Zionist slogan envisaged statehood extending over the two banks of the Jordan river, and when that vision proved impractical, it was substituted by the idea of a Greater Israel, an entity conceived as extending from the Jordan to the sea.[9][10] The Palestinian phrase has also been used by Israeli politicians. The 1977 election manifesto of the right-wing Israeli Likud party said: "Between the sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."[11][12][13] Similar wording, such as referring to the area "west of the Jordan river", has also been used more recently by other Israeli politicians,[3] including Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 18 January 2024.[14] Some countries have considered criminalizing Palestinian but not Israeli use of the phrase.[15][16]

I guess I missed the masses of Israel supporters demanding the extirpation of the Palestinian population. More importantly, I missed them acting on it. They have the capability to do so, it seems like they lack the will.

@#18 ... I guess I missed the masses of Israel supporters demanding the extirpation of the Palestinian population. ...

Yeah, that is just wrong, imo.

This, I'll call it, situation in the Middle East is not a good one, by any means.

The issues and problems go back centuries.

The issues are not going to be resolved by warfare (e.g. Israel taking over large portions of Egypt in the "Six Day War" of 1967)

The issues will only be resolved by discussion.

imo, this is a religious war.

Religious wars are not decided by who is right and who is wrong.

Because both are wrong.

So, what is the solution?

No, you put forth a factually unsupportable statement, but just couldn't own up to it. Happens lots of places, lots of times. Enough with misconstruing River and Sea statements, perhaps?

"The issues and problems go back centuries."

How so?

There were enormous Jewish communities across southwest Asia. Far more so than in Europe. Was that only because their colonial masters kept them all in check?

"imo, this is a religious war."

I don't think so. Fatah/PLO is a secular organization that was previously aligned with the Soviets. I think it's only incidental that their successor is an Islamist organization.

Much of the region was influenced by the policies of the German National Socialists during WWII. Quite a few SS members made their way to the region after the war to provide as advisors to the post-colonial regimes.

The biggest problem is that Palestinians have been conditioned to believe that the region and everything in it should belong to them. Despite the fact that very little existed in the region prior to the arrival of the Zionists.

#21 | Posted by madbomber at 2024-09-28 06:27 AM | Reply

#20 "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," is a diluted distortion of the original saying. The original is "From Water to Water, Palestine is Arab." Islamists have also adopted the phrase, exchanging "Arab" for "Muslim."

And I'm not sure what they mean by "free." Free from Jews? There certainly would be no freedom if Hamas took control. Not for anyone.
