So much for those military types voting. Suckers and losers. When I'm president, all military voting will be done by me...

It's Republicans challenging the votes moron, not Democrats. Try reading the article before spouting off your ignorance next time.

Republicans have been challenging how states handle these voters, something former President Donald Trump didn't do in 2020 when he and his allies challenged his loss in court.

The number appears to be the work of Heather Honey, a Pennsylvania-based "election integrity" investigator whose research has achieved a remarkable level of national salience among the far right, despite being replete with errors.

Honey has been among the most effective advocates for right-wing election talking points. Time after time, her research has fed into viral allegations about election integrity, fueling conservative pressure campaigns, forcing fact-checkers and public officials to attempt to piece together a more accurate picture and undermining confidence in long-trusted election practices. Often, her conclusions are misleading or based on incomplete information.

I don't see military votes being challenged.

Seems reasonable to complain, the voter rolls in the US are horribly maintained.

Oh MSGT, you were that close! Well, actually you were completely wrong:

"The person who filed Larsons' challenge was (Trump lawyer) Karen DiSalvo, a lawyer with a group called the Election Research Institute (Trump). DiSalvo recently lost a federal lawsuit challenging the eligibility of overseas voters that a federal judge said was based on "phantom fears of foreign malfeasance". The Election Research Institute (Trumplican)is led by Heather Honey, a prominent activist who has spread false claims about elections."

Let me see if I can break it down, Barney style:
The lawsuit was to prevent counting of overseas ballots that were not military.
The lawsuit was to throw out anyone's vote that wasn't military.
There was no attempt by Democrats to prevent any mail in ballot from overseas from being counted.
The Republicans did that. They wanted all ballots except military ballots to be ignored.
Republicans wanted only military ballots to be counted.

That is a violation of Federal law.
It is election interference.
That is why it keeps getting thrown out by judge after judge.

GOP's mantra - can't win, so suppress, suppress, suppress - then throw out the rest!

No. They were fighting to keep LATE arriving ballots from being counted. That is a legal thing and I get why one would argue counting them. I mean you can't also fail to remember 2020 and how counting the ballots took so long.

Here's the thing. No matter what, I believe folks serving in the military should have their votes counted if they choose to vote. One of my friends who was serving in Iraq in 2008 on his 3rd tour did not receive his ballot until the day he was departing Iraq. That happened to be the day he was boarding his flight to return to the US. It also so happened he was flying on Election Tuesday. He had no opportunity to vote even though requesting the ballot very early (and it being mailed promptly). That makes him angry to this day.

Says I am sure a small government kind of guy who doesn't want a national ID required or something like that... Are YOU an expert on maintenance of Voter rolls or is that just what you hear for the interwebs?

On Military votes and Trumpers trying to take them away? Try Again: Republicans Are Trying to Disenfranchise Military Voters

FTA: "As part of their attack on Americans' voting rights, Pennsylvania Republicans and their pro-Trump allies just went after soldiers and sailors"

GalaxiePete -yep! Thanks for reminding MSGT exactly what the FL battle was over (and showing, along with #5, how wrong post #2 was).

Is it so hard to believe a powerhouse state with an Ivey League college one shore on the Great Lakes and another on a deep water river that cargo ships transverse every day and leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean would have some voters over seas?
