'Member when there needed to be legitimate Cause to fire law enforcement and other Gov workers?

Trumpers must be proud of what a petty tool they've elected.

Trump said he was not aware of the removals.

Officials also said that thousands of FBI agents who investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol are under review."

King Trump demands their heads... then says he knows nothing (Sgt Shultz) about it.

And guess what? Trumpers believe him.

They will. With the settlement from nice big fat juicy lawsuit that you and I will pay for.

Excellent work. Trumpy just doubled or tripled the cost of their retirement that the taxpayer will now end up paying.

This who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

F.B.I. Official Fired Under Trump Wins Back His Pension

On Thursday, the department reversed Mr. McCabe's firing, settling a lawsuit he filed asserting that he was dismissed for political reasons. Under the settlement, Mr. McCabe, 53, will be able to officially retire, receive his pension and other benefits, and get about $200,000 in missed pension payments.

Mr. McCabe thanked his lawyers at the firm of Arnold & Porter, who will receive more than $500,000 in legal fees paid by the government. The firm intends to donate the money to its foundation, which provides scholarships to minority law students, among other things.

This is your brain on Trump... which 'thinks' that their Cult Leader was 'victimized' by the Senate and the DOJ.

When the truth is that literally dozens of his own hand-picked Aides and Lawyers... Trumpers All... testified to his CRIMES under Oath.

And literally 100's of J6ers were found guilty by juries and judges all over the country for everything from seditious conspiracy to assault to various other crimes USING THE SAME EVIDENCE USED AGAINST TRUMP.

So... yet again on this site, you are exposed as a classic moron cult member who believes anything and everything the Cult Leader tells you... despite all the actual EVIDENCE to the contrary.

Sad.

Whatever it takes to get the corrupt POS's out of there is worth it.

Also to the doofus who posted about McCabe, this is what really happened:

"In Thursday's settlement, the Justice Department admitted no wrongdoing. But the Biden administration rescinded McCabe's dismissal, restored his full pension and other benefits, and allowed him to officially retire and receive about $200,000 in missed payments."

Since it continues to be brought up I'll address it. I've only ever felt those who were non-violent on January 6th deserved pardons. Now as for removing the wrought (and I do think it's worth noting) I know directly and indirectly truly good people who happen to work for the FBI. With what I am about to say certainly does not include them in my personal condemnation of leadership as it has stood since 2015.

There has been open subversion from certain members of leadership let's start with the Russian PeePee hoax and how that entire dossier came into existence and how it was trafficked to the media.

Then let's take Andrew McCabe and his mistress who further helped pedal the same agenda during the Mueller probe and the text messages that were exposed showing precisely that they were engaging in said initial subversion.

Now, let's move to the DOJ ordering the FBI to raid Mar-a-lago (which if Lamp wants to go into the archives) shows I said this would backfire and cost the Democrats the 2024 election and that if you wanted the "threat" of Trump to go away this was precisely the wrong thing to be doing.

There's a continuous abusive of power by a contingent of their leadership. They were purged and my personal hope is that the FBI will return to a non-partisan entity doing the work of the people instead of paybacks by whichever party happens to be in charge.

Lets start before that during the 2016 campaign when the FBI was investigating BOTH candidates but only publicly announced the investigation into the democrat candidate.

Then you can tell me why trump chose russian asset paul manafort as his campaign manager, out of everyone in the world he could have picked. Did dems make him do that?

#24 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2025-02-02 05:18 PM | Reply

The question on Paul Manafort is an easy one, Trump and Roger Stone are tight and Trump trusts Roger's political insight as well as his wide scale of political friends. Roger and Paul had a lobbying firm together back in the 1980's called Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly or BMSK for short. I'd imagine Roger said Paul would be a great asset and Trump hired him.

Ah so the answer is that trump is so gullible and stupid that he hires a russian asset because a buddy tells him to.

And then why did trump immediately try to lift sanctions on putin and rewrite the GOP platform to say putin can have crimea? Did stone tell him to do that too?

The FBI is part of the executive branch. So, Constitutionally, POTUS can fire executive employees. Now, such firings can be regarded as sufficiently corrupt to warrant impeachment, which is a political remedy.

If anyone wants to argue POTUS can't fire people serving in the Executive branch then you are acknowledging this country truly has a 4th branch of government.

Christ you're a stupid ----

Federal civil service laws protect government employees from political interference and ensure they are hired and promoted based on merit. These laws also protect employees' rights to due process, free speech, and freedom from self-incrimination.
Principles of federal civil service laws
Merit-based selection: Employees are selected based on their skills, knowledge, and ability
Fair treatment: Employees are treated fairly and equitably, regardless of their race, sex, age, or other factors
Equal pay: Employees receive equal pay for work of equal value
Protection from political influence: Employees are protected from political interference and reprisals for whistleblowing
Job security: Employees are protected from arbitrary or politically motivated termination
Right to appeal: Employees have the right to appeal adverse employment decisions
Laws that govern federal civil service
Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act
Passed in 1883, this law established the U.S. Civil Service Commission and required federal employees to be selected through competitive exams
Civil Service Reform Act of 1978
This law established the Office of Personnel Management and strengthened the merit-based system for selecting and promoting federal employees

Is there anything that you are not completely and utterly wrong about?

Now spend the next 2 days arguing the simple objective truth.

BTW this action was the final straw that got Nixon.

Jeff won't bother to explain his position, cause he can't, cause he isn't too bright. He is interested only in blowing ---- up.

All I saw with a quick peruse was a magat whine about deep state dressed up in fancy language.

Our country cannot survive replacing entire bureaucracies with political hacks every 4 years. That is patently ridiculous.

And to do that with the DoJ is patently corrupt.

---- off with this --------.

Even your forebears knew this was a really really bad idea-see Nixon, see Tammany Hall, see the Gilded Age.

But the corruption IS the point, isn't it.

You do realize we are on a slippery slope to complete collapse, right?

The richest man in the world who happens to be the biggest government contractor has an office in the white house and seemingly now has access to the government system that pays it's bills, is dictating legislation and laying waste to the federal government.

Where in the constitution is that?

Who is going to stop that?

BTW the people he is targeting are actually good people doing the people's work. They are people with integrity who make our government function.

But whistle past the graveyard.

I disagree.

I think that current alias is quite intelligent.

And that is the issue.

That current alias seems to be focused upon disruption, not discussion.

So, there may be an apparent intelligent current alias here that seems to be focused more upon disruption, than providing information and fostering a rational discussion.

imo, it is not the intelligence of that current alias that I question.

It is the apparent end goal it may want to achieve.

" That current alias seems to be focused upon disruption, not discussion."

Sometimes I do post things that call out hypocrisy. Sometimes I make comments that are troll comments but I try to couch them with humor. Oftentimes I do try to initiate discussion.

Twoothy blew off the source I cited - Andrew McCarthy. This is a guy who felt that Trump's actions after 2020 warranted impeachment and permanent barring of ever serving again (via Senate removal after Trump left office). He's on the record with that opinion and has said so on multiple occasions without equivocation.

With that as a backdrop to this former prosecutor (who successfully prosecuted the blind sheik for the 93 trade center bombing) this is Twooth's assessment:

" All I saw with a quick peruse was a magat whine about deep state dressed up in fancy language."

That is not a serious person, Lamplighter. Certainly not one interested in any kind of actual discussion beyond pulling out every vile pejorative he can think of when someone has the temerity to present information that contradicts the narratives he clings to.
