Donald Trump's campaign promise to lower the price of eggs isn't going well. The average price of a dozen eggs went up to $3.65 in November and rose again in December to $4.15. Now in the most recent reports for mid-January it skyrocketed to $5.29. The primary cause for the increases is the spread of bird flu among commercial poultry, leading to 13 million hens dying or being culled. |
