The error is the latest in the Trump administration's attempts to rapidly shrink the size of the government by conducting mass firings of federal workers " an effort that is being carried out by tech billionaire Elon Musk and the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, which is heavily staffed by people who have no experience in government.

Intentional chaos, or incompetence?

The DOGE DEI hire that they got rid of already had a great plan to reduce the bureaucracy by 50% by firing everyone with and odd-numbered SS#. There's meritocracy in action.

How terribly "efficient" of them. Just like them trying to re-hire the fired nuke staff only to discover they don't know how to contact them. Verrrrrry efficient.

There must now be hundreds of folks 'accidently' fired. I'm not sure if it would be funny or sad that many have no interest in returning to their jobs, to again be under the thumb of some 23-year old gamer who worships Leon Skum, thinks Spinal Tap was a real band, and has to bring his mom on business trips so she can fix his meals. How much can someone love their job that they would return to such a situation? Asking for a nation realizing it may have to take direct action...
