Three people were killed and at least eight others wounded when a gunman on a boat pulled up to the American Fish Company, a waterfront bar in Southport NC, and opened fire.

Not to Mr. Edge. It is impossible to wonder what the motive was at this point. But I'm pretty sure there is a manifesto out there somewhere this guy wrote, and it will be awesome.

Here's a modest 141-year-old suggestion from the good folks of wild and wooly Tombstone, Arizona Territory:

Ordinance No.9:
"To Provide against Carrying of Deadly Weapons" (effective April 19, 1881).
Section 1. It is hereby declared unlawful to carry in the hand or upon the person or otherwise any deadly weapon within the limits of said city of Tombstone, without first obtaining a permit in writing.
