He has a history of espousing Communist views. Does that make him a Commie Mayor? We will have to watch and see how he acts in his role when faced with reality.

I've seen a number of people describe Mamdani as a "left-wing version of Trump". Some people apparently think that's what's needed in order to defeat him. Be careful what you wish for...

Maher is right that the US is not a Communist country, but it could be when Trump gets through with it...

You can always tell who never finished high school.

They can't tell you the difference between Socialism and Communism.

And Zohran doesn't even make it to actual Socialist. At best, he gets Socialist Lite.

Maher is probably at least partially correct in that Democrats are going to argue over this.

As to the primary attribute of being a communist which disqualifies Mamdani.....I can't imagine he advocates for the abolition of private property ownership.

I think folks enjoy the arguments over more finer differences between socialism and communism.

But their purpose is roughly the same as "racist" or "rapist" or "nazi"......terms to stay the hell away from.

And while we can agree shrimptacophant probably graduated high school, it's clear he didn't get much further with regards to learning how to earn an income.

Explains his constant resentment towards posters here he knows do better than him.
