"Donald Trump has offered potentially his most deranged statement regarding the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol to date, telling reporters outside his Florida estate on Thursday that the 2021 attack was "an insurrection caused by Nancy Pelosi."

Trump didn't elaborate on how the Jan. 6 riot, which was carried out by thousands of self-proclaimed Trump supporters, could possibly be tied to Rep. Pelosi (D-CA).

Instead, he wrongly claimed that he made only "very beautiful, very heartwarming statements" on the day of the attack, suggesting he wasn't the person who incited the violence.

"I heard, and I watched, and the one thing I'll say is they kept saying about what I said
right after the insurrection, which I think was an insurrection caused by Nancy Pelosi," he said.

"I said peacefully and patriotically... Take a look at the statements I made before and after, and you'll see a whole different dialogue."

Because like Biden, he's too old to be POTUS. His memory is going as well.

Trump's main objective is to either place the blame on someone else or run the clock out, convinced he'll win the election and then can't be prosecuted as POTUS. With all the witnesses and his hunting media attention, he's not going to be able to place the blame on someone else.

I have a theory about why he made this claim that there was indeed an insurrection, right after the SC hearing we listened to yesterday.

There was an article last evening that noted the absence of any mention by the Justices or Trump's lawyers about one part of their filing... that the Court decide that there was no insurrection.

He and his lawyers may have assumed that was because the Justices had no question that there was an insurrection, given the CO Court ruling that there was.

And if that's the case, then he wanted to get out in front of the story, claiming that there was an insurrection, but it wasn't him that started it, planned it with Fake Electors, and then told the Big Lie about the election rigging.

No, see, that was Nancy Pelosi.... ROFL!!

Of course the defense will be: Everyone knows he's a liar so nothing he says can be used against him.

So for once let's be honest, real and fair. Based on events of recent years no institution is obviously as devious and power hungry as the DNC and the "news" media cabal that always covers for them and which is in their pocket. A disturbing hate of Trump and his desire for freedom and honest government to rid us of the deep state drives them to a constant frenzy of hate. It is very disturbing. Ive not seen anything like it in my years.

The brain is dead, but the fingers still type.

One would have to believe that all the Trump Aides testifying to his crimes are Dem Crisis Actors to make such a braindead assertion.

One reason people who hate Trump do so is because he tried to steal the election from Joe Biden and the 80+ million people who voted for him, which seems like a damn good reason to hate someone.

How did you feel when trump filled his white house with bankers and lobbyists after telling you he'd "drain the swamp?" Conned? Tricked? Suckered?

Your disturbing love for a hateful bigoted criminal who has been indicted 91 times impeached twice lost an election and lied about it (over 30,000 documented lies) dividing America and creating chaos and division everywhere he goes is unfathomable. It's very disturbing. I have not seen anything like it in my entire lifetime. I have never even read about anything like it in American history either since just before the American Civil War.

The only criminally indicted President in American history. Not once but 91 times!

I thought the 60s and 70s were dangerous times but that was nothing compared to dangers our democracy and the entire world faces now. All because of Trumpy's hateful ego and disrespect for the Law and his ignorant cultish followers disrespect for democratic institutions.

I can't wait for Dictator Day can you?
