"When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Attributed variously to Upton Sinclair, H.L. Mencken, and Huey Long, and to Sinclair Lewis.

If Dementia Don is elected again, the US will have ZERO CREDIBILITY AND WILL DESERVE NONE.

Right now the credibility of the GOP is down the bowl because it is so corrupted that a rapist insurrectionist with 91 felony charges who stole classified documents is considered a viable candidate for the presidency.

Jesus wept.

It speaks volumes about the morality of the evangelicals that a rapist that hangs around with 6 known pedophiles and who willfully violates every teaching of Jesus Christ and the 10 commandments is their golden calf.

Trump wanted to leave NATO no matter who paid what because that's what putin wants and trump serves putin. Remember how he immediately rewrote the GOP platform to let putin keep crimea as soon as he won the nomination? And then how he tried to lift sanctions on russia as soon as he was elected? And how he let putin choose half his cabinet? And how he picked a russian stooge as his campaign manager?

Do you really need 2% gdp for all time to solve russia issues? Buy you war stocks because the people at the top only want weapons.

"he was warning the deadbeat parasitic countries that they were going to have to pay more for"

All while Europeans promise billions in direct aid to a country currently under attack by Russia.

Meanwhile ... Trumpy's lackeys in Congress refuse to help by paying their "fair share" to stop Russian aggression and who apparently want to completely abandon an ally in the middle of a war and in their most desperate time of need.

Pretty cynical and hypocritical if you ask me.

#6 Shrimptacodon So, he's a mafia wannabe thug who's shaking down NATO countries for protection money against Putin. Who's to say he would protect those NATO countries even if he got the money from them.

Who's to say he would protect those NATO countries even if he got the money from them.

Has he even told them yet that the money is to go to him, personally?

direct aid to a country currently under attack by Russia.

How is that America's problem?

who apparently want to completely abandon an ally

When was Ukraine an ally? It was not part of NATO.

It was just the guy you sometimes waved to from across the street.

So that guy got mugged....unfortunate... but how is it YOUR problem?

@#12 ... When was Ukraine an ally? It was not part of NATO. ...

Does a country need to be a member of NATO in order to be an ally?

That question aside, your question seems to echo why Pres Putin is so against Ukraine asking to join NATO.

#13 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-02-13 11:23 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

Does a country need to be a member of NATO in order to be an ally?

Yes.

Or be declared a "Non NATO ally". That also allows the US military to store American equipment and ammo in that country for an emergency.

Ukraine was none of the above.

You guys are acting like "Hey window washer guy... I think you're my daddy!" LOL

seems to echo why Pres Putin is so against Ukraine asking to join NATO

If Ukraine had been NATO, they would not have been invaded because then they would be American allies.

@#14 ... Yes. ... Or be declared a "Non NATO ally". That also allows the US military to store American equipment and ammo in that country for an emergency. ...

So, your current seems to admit that a non-NATO country may be an ally.

... Ukraine was none of the above. ...

Yet Pres Putin seems to consider Ukraine to be such a western threat that he executed an unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country in order to take over a country that Russia has said should not exist.

So, your current seems to admit that a non-NATO country may be an ally.

You stupid, stupid, man.....

en.wikipedia.org

Major non-NATO ally (MNNA) is a designation given by the United States government to countries that have strategic working relationships with the U.S. Armed Forces while not being members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). While the status does not automatically constitute a mutual defense pact (as would be the case through NATO membership) with the United States, it does confer a variety of military and financial advantages that are otherwise unobtainable by non-NATO countries. There are currently 19 major non-NATO allies across four continents: 11 in Asia, 3 in Africa, 3 in South America, and 2 in Oceania.

@#16 ... You stupid, stupid, man..... ...

Maybe. Maybe not.

But I am able to discern that the definition of an ally does not require a NATO membership.

Are all NATO members allies? I'd say, yes.

Are all allies NATO members? I'd say no.

Stated differently...

A quadrangle has four sides, but are all quadrangles squares? A rectangle is a quadrangle, but is it a square?

So, please, your current alias needs to try a whole lot harder than the apparent false equivalencies it has provided so far.

Yeah. Quite stupid, he is indeed. LOL

"Major non Nato ally" is also a designation... stupid fellow.... it is not just nice words or a compliment.

Yup, I did.

So, what's yer point?

Does your current alias even have a point besides trying to denigrate anyone who points out the illogical aspect of your current alias' comments?

Yer up...

(and, as an aside, I do note a very significant change in the focus of your current alias. Previously, it had been totally focused upon a quite different viewpoint. Did it blow its cover? I dunno....)

Ukraine was never given the formal status of "major non nato ally". Or any kind of "ally".

And I was talking to DinnerBoy. Why has THIS maggot inserted itself into our communication?

@#24 ... Ukraine was never given the formal status of "major non nato ally". Or any kind of "ally". ...

What is your current alias' definition of "given" in this context?

I do note that your current alias seems to be backing away from it's prior assertions, and now seems to be agreeing more with my opinions.

And I do wonder why your current alias seems to want to misquote me as saying "major non nato ally". Or any kind of "ally".

I never made those assertions, that onus is on your current alias to substantiate.

Yer up...

I have not backed away an inch.

You understanding is fluid. Like the fluid in your brain.

And I do wonder

Let your current alias wonder. Maybe it will help the fluid in your brain turn into wax.

@#26 ... I have not backed away an inch. ...

The comments of your current alias seem to indicate otherwise.

Specifically, your current alias' #18 where it seemed to back away from the definition of "ally."

@#27 ... Just you Maggot. Just you. LOL ...

So, your current alias appears to fall back to ad hominem attacks because it is unable to substantiate the assertions it posts?

Your comments seem to do little more at this point than trivialize your views.

Do try harder.
