Biden Blames 'Congressional Inaction' for Ukrainian Withdrawal of Key Town

President Joe Biden, in a call Saturday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, directly tied Ukraine's withdrawal from the key town of Avdiivka to Congress' inability to pass further aid for the country's effort to fend off Russia's invasion.

President Biden emphasized the need for Congress to urgently pass the national security supplemental funding bill to resupply Ukrainian forces," according to a White House readout of the call. Earlier this week, the Senate passed with bipartisan support a $95.3 billion foreign aid bill, which includes $60 billion to support Ukraine. However, GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson has said he does not plan to bring the bill to the floor, and the House is on a two-week break.

MAGA says Ukraine can't win the war - of course not, because MAGA congressional wing insists on tying UKR's hands behind it's back. Give them the weapons - UKR is beating Russia down for us, it's the best geopolitical return on investment we'll see this decade.

Biden's right. Ukraine wouldn't have lost Andivika if we'd supplied the weapons to fight that murderous tyrant. Consider they'd already taken back a third of what Putin stole in the East.

I've said it before and I'll say it again about Trump's latest effort to raise cash. It's a sham that will probably net him $thousands$. But what he really needs is $millions$. And the only place that kind of money can possibly come from is one of his foreign allies. Possibly Saudi Arabia who could step up quickly with a deal to buy some of Trump's New York properties.

The $25 or $35 thousand he gets in donations wouldn't pay for anything more than his motorcade full of aides and lawyers every time he leaves Mar-a-Lago.
