Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The House swiftly approved $95 billion in foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel and other U.S. allies in a rare Saturday session as Democrats and Republicans banded together after months of hard-right resistance over renewed American support for repelling Russia's invasion. With an overwhelming vote, the $61 billion in aid for Ukraine passed in a matter of minutes, a strong showing as American lawmakers race to deliver a fresh round of U.S. support to the war-torn ally. Many Democrats cheered on the House floor and waved blue-and-yellow flags of Ukraine.

Aid to Israel and the other allies also won approval by healthy margins, as did a measure to clamp down on the popular platform TikTok, with unique coalitions forming to push the separate bills forward. The whole package will go to the Senate, which could pass it as soon as Tuesday. President Joe Biden has promised to sign it immediately.

The Feebdumb Caucus is in tatters... shredded and downhearted by a glimmer of a speck of a hope of rational pro-American behavior in the Animal House.

Trump looks weak and sleepy, Moscow Marjorie had Ken Buck of CO up her behind in the headlines again.

Well, look at the compromise that was somehow pulled off like it's the old pre-Newt days. Who knows? Maybe bi-partisan DC cocktail parties and rounds of golf may come back.

The vote on passage of the Ukraine funding was 311-112. Significantly, 112 Republicans opposed the legislation, with only 101 in support.

So the majority of Republicans opposed. Shows how deep the Russian-rot goes in that party.

Has the daughter-boning orange stopped -------- his pants long enough to apologize to Putin for failing to block the aid to Ukraine?

Well, not all of us can hold on to the arm of a big, strong, man in uniform when walking down an ADA ramp.

"Even Rupert's rag is dragging MTG."

And why not? The worm has turned and her hollow threats in the House have turned her voice from a roar to a mousey little squeak. Embarrassing, really.

Even Trump has waved her aside in favor of Johnson's longer range ideas to hold onto the House and win (perhaps, maybe, coulda, shoulda woulda, etc.) the presidency in 2024.

How are We gonna Pay for It?

a, Deficit spending again? b, A tax on capital gains? c, A tax on corporate profits? d, None of the above?

Israel and Ukraine can Create Value, the old fashioned way.

Like the American taxpayers.

Or they can piss off.

Israel and Ukraine are Vassal outposts, not examples of Democratic ideals at work.

Ukraine should be tapered off, they got snookered into a major war. Europe can Pay if it's so vital to them. Estonia can lead the charge. With Poland.

Israel should get NOTHING. Aid to Palestine should be increased.

Sanctions on the Israeli economy would also be in order.

Make em' sweat.

The sovereign country of Ukraine is subject to an unprovoked invasion by Pres Putin to annex and eliminate Ukraine.

Pres Putin has said as much, that Ukraine should not exist as a separate country.

@#21 ... "DT" on line 1 Ms. Greene! ...

Of course, with fmr Pres trump looking now to support Ukraine (at least, this week), the whole ousting Spkr Johnson takes a new turn.

As Rep Taylor-Greene seems to have learned.

Is she now talking with fmr Pres Trump? Will we see her visit Mar-A-Lago in the near future?

Or will she just seem to rely that, in her district, she seems to be safe, regardless of how the Country suffers?.

I guess Trump didn't consult with MTG after he and Johnson had their confab at Mar-a-Lago and decided to think long range about hanging onto the House and winning the presidency in 2024.

The about-face was so fast after Johnson came back from Mar-a-Lago, there's no question he and Trump had come to an agreement. They just forgot to tell MTG about it.

How rude!

EFFORTRAITOR thinks, "Aid to Palestine should be increased." Why? What have they ever done for the USA besides wish us all dead? They despise us just for being Americans; you know the folks that feed, house, provide medical care and create their infrastructure which they turn into bombs like they did with most of the water pipes that we gifted them ...all the while they sing about murdering us as we sleep. Their public education system teaches their children to hate Jews, Christians and anybody that does not toe the Iranian Mullahs BS. Maybe EFFORTRAITOR should go there and help them with his brave self? Naw, not going to happen as why would he do that considering he has never served his own country let alone the one that he loves so much that hates him anyway.
