@schiff.senate.gov has sent a letter to the heads of the Interior Department, USDA and OMB in the wake of our @nbcnews.com reporting about the federal hiring freeze stalling federal firefighter hiring. "I urge you to immediately exempt federal firefighters from the freeze on federal funding."

I was speaking to a friend with strong ties to the National Park Service, yesterday. They have similar issues. If the Park Service can't get their seasonal employees, many National Parks may be gated shut this summer. The Forest Service will have issues, as well.

Where are you located? Apparently, it only shows as the 'Gulf of America', WITHOUT the parenthesis, if you're launching Google Maps or Google Earth from within the United States. Everywhere else it appears that they're using the double designation with the 'Gulf of America' in the parenthesis, which in itself is interesting as this just shines a light on Trump's stupid ego.

I'm in Canada. On Google Maps I see Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America). On Apple maps I just see Gulf of Mexico.
