@#1 ...and what they've uncovered is, frankly, shocking ...
... and, still no evidence presented (besides the apparent kissing of the most ample derriere of Pres Trump) to back up the assertion.

Do republicans ever need evidence to back up their claims?
Ever??

@#3 ... Do republicans ever need evidence to back up their claims? ...
From what I have seen?
No. Evidence does not appear to be needed.
Just a post or two or hundreds (thousands?) of reposts on X of misinformation.
imo, the current GOP is not based upon evidence or facts, but more upon social media memes.

What? Did Mike Johnson just realize he was in charge of the House and that it's Congress that actually controls the purse strings?
Fine. Make legislation to make spending cuts real and permanent.
That's how you are supposed to do it you frickin dumbarses.

Thune and Johnson are just two cowars willing to give rhe Constitutional power of Congress to a foreigner with federal contracts which is a huge conflict of interest! Shameful!

" Thune and Johnson vow to take DOGE spending cuts to the next level"
And not with the goal of balancing the budget, of course. The goal is Elon keeping his budget-busting tax cuts.

budget-busting. Aren't you the one that's supposed to be good at math. If Musk's wealth were 100% liquid and 100% confiscated, it would cover 20% of just the deficit.
The spending problem is a mountain to tax cuts mole hill.

People are just going to have to buckle up and sacrifice to get through these tough times. Likely for the rest of their lives.
The millionaires and billionaires ramming through these cuts won't be affected by them though. In fact, they'll end up better off than ever.
Gotta do something about the deficit that the millionaires and billionaires created. How else will they be able to get more tax cuts?

Tax cuts are responsible for the majority of the national debt. But keep spouting that CATO quackery.

Good God, what a dumfuq.
Nobody is talking about just taxing Elon ... They're talking about folks like Musk paying a lower rate than his executive secretary.

"The spending problem is a mountain to tax cuts mole hill."
More ------------.
When you're running a deficit budget, and you write a new tax code giving away $2.3 trillion ...
100% of that $2.3 trillion is NEW BORROWING, therefore NEW SPENDING.

The only thing responsible for debit is spending, almost by definition. From what I am reading the US never garnered more than 25-30% of GDP, so why did the US government consistently allocate to spend more than that? www.oecd.org
Claiming tax cuts are the issue is like complaining your credit card debt is too high because you don't get paid enough.

The only thing responsible for debit is spending,
Especially when the rich keep cutting their taxes.
I never understand why poor people rush to defend the rich.
The only conclusion is they're easily manipulated. That explains the Republican Party.
Facts is. The more educated one becomes the more likely they are to vote for democrats.
