Wait until tonight's SOTU speech.

The only reason I am gonna watch it is to see how democrats respond to his lies and how they treat their new King.

Can't wait until Trump starts tear-gassing his own voters.

Who knows, maybe they'll be more successful storming The White House than they were at The Capitol.

No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans

Rep. Richard Hudson issued the edict after a spate of testy episodes.

The chair of the House GOP's campaign arm told Republican lawmakers Tuesday to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts undertaken by President Donald Trump's administration.

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), the NRCC chair, delivered the message inside a closed-door meeting of House Republicans, according to three people granted anonymity to describe the private remarks.

"No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans"

That was easy!

That didn't take long!

If Democrats have half a brain, which feels generous, they will start having twice as many Town Halls.

Yep, Democrats need to "adopt" Republican districts like they did back in 2017/2018 when Democratic Congress people went into neighboring districts held by no-show Republicans and held town halls there.

Tim Walz Offers to Meet With Voters Whose GOP Reps Refuse to Hold Town Halls

"Canceling town halls to avoid voter backlash is the thing you do, right before you lose the majority," said one Democratic strategist.

Voters in Republican districts may see considerably less of their members of Congress in the coming months following a directive from the chair of the U.S. House GOP's campaign arm on Tuesday, but Democratic leaders including Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz offered to fill in for lawmakers who don't want to face constituents who have questions about the Trump-Republican agenda.

"If your Republican representative won't meet with you because their agenda is so unpopular, maybe a Democrat will," said Walz, who was former Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate in the 2024 election. "Hell, maybe I will."

Sadly, every one of the MAGA pols is hoping that El Rey Dotardo II cancels all future elections. Dem pols should have these events every weekend--include a bake sale, Lenten fish fry, and samples of local craft beer. Get the crowds out, get them angry, and form them into a community and voting bloc. Reinforce the problem of not being educated on the issues, and getting all hyped to vote in EVERY election, from dog catcher to president. Voters should target every pol with an "R" after their name or a stupid red hat in the back of their closet...

I am eagerly awaiting the first pro-Trump MAGAtcongress man/woman to be torn to pieces by a mob at one of these town hall meetings. I hope to be there and have plenty of popcorn. Die greedy MAGAt scum!

Can't happen after they cancel all town hall meetings. Step 1 in implementing martial law.

Good luck. Texas shifted red by about 10 points in 2024.

Not in total number of votes. I'd bet there was barely a difference between 2024 and when Trump lost in 2020. You got a link?

Texas shifted red by about 10 points in 2024.

Then Trump won and has proceeded to do everything he can to destroy the country.

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence has buyer remorse already.

OK, so crunching the numbers it works out to be 8% - which is way higher than I expected.
