A lot of red states will be affected by upcoming tariffs (and likely retaliatory tariffs on their exports) if they go through as planned next week. Interesting maps from CNBC. #tariffs #exports #imports #redstate #bluestate https://t.co/6c7LqjR9MC" Brian P. Klein (@brianpklein) February 25, 2025

Could solve one problem though; without immigrants to pick the crops they will likely rot but these tarriffs could kill the markets for them anyway!

Who thought reciprocal treatment would trigger such butthurt? Knock the wheels off their gravy train, don't care if they bought their preferential trade deals from our corrupt congress 'fair and square' or not.

US can be autarchy example, we don' need lesser nations' cheap export trash. Anything worth having we can make better right here. Like we did before.
The reciprocal response to these boycotts is embargo. Start with Canada and their 80 percent of exports. make it to zero. Screw tariffs. EMBARGO! Any pissant country that doesn't want to play fair.

No one could have guessed this was coming.
It's almost like he wants to ruin the United States.

'Murican consumers decades ago decided that a toaster made in China was better option than one made in the US. Saving $5 was more important that keeping jobs in America. Corporate America played the consumers greed over $5 into BILLIONS in profits for themselves by shifting good middle class jobs to China and Mexico where wages were 1/50th what they are in the US and no worker safety or environmental regulations cutting into their profits.
You really think 25% tariffs that will be passed onto consumers anyways is going to move manufacturing back to the US? Wages and benefits alone are more than 25% higher here in the US than China where the average work day is more than 12 hours and the chances of being killed on the job are 300% higher than in the US. The cost of living and rent alone in the US is double what it is in Taiwan.
Forcing companies to move back into the US is folly. He knows it. He just wants to ruin the economy so he can blame Biden for it for having the audacity to beat him badly in 2020.

Good. Sane people MUST stand up to a bully. Doing so robs the bully of his power, and makes him shrink before your eyes, like a balloon losing its air. Imagine a world where no one of sound mind listens to the blathering of El Rey Dotardo II, because they know there is no power behind those words. We're almost to that point, so hang in there...

We're seeing market manipulation at the grandest of scales. Like what folks (inaccurately?) accused Osama Bin laden of doing before 9-11 with airline stocks, except this time with our own president and his billionaire pals as the perpetrators.
They're making billions shorting the stock market at the expense of current and future retirees.
