Speaking of Reagan national Airport ...

... A plane carrying at least a half-dozen U.S. House of Representatives members was clipped by another aircraft on the ground at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., on Thursday, officials said.

U.S. Reps. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., Nick LaLota, R-N.Y., Grace Meng, D-N.Y., and Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., all confirmed on social media they were aboard the American Airlines plane that was clipped at about 12:45 p.m.

Two of those lawmakers also confirmed that U.S. Reps Adriano Espaillat and Ritchie Torres, both Democrats from New York, were also aboard that craft.

Meeks said a total of seven "members of Congress were on board along with dozens of other concerned passengers."

Both planes were connected to American Airlines, the FAA and airline both said. ...

"members of Congress were on board along with dozens of other concerned passengers."

I'd be concerned too.

Congressional Republicans were probably planing to hijack the plane and fly it into the NASDAQ.

As previously reported by CNN, the night before the incident, a fight broke out in the Reagan National control tower, leading airport police to arrest an air traffic controller.

The communications competence breakdown, according to sources familiar with the incident, appeared to occur when air traffic controllers in the Reagan National Airport control tower failed to hold departing flights for five minutes as planned leading up to the 3:17 p.m. flyover. A short pause in departures from the airport is standard protocol for Arlington cemetery flyovers, but for some reason that did not happen, that source said.

Wait. There are still air traffic controllers who are employed? I thought the Muskrats got rid of all those slackers, in the name of efficiency and reductions of redundancy. After all, how many of those people do we need in this country? And too many of them are women! Hell, the Muskrats don't care--they commute to work on their skateboards...

Damon Marsalis Gaines, 39, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was charged with assault and battery, according to the airport.

"The employee is on administrative leave while we investigate the matter," the FAA told CNN.

Why should there be more problems?

The person in question was removed from the position, pending th investigation into what occurred.

Due process.

So, what "more problems" should be expected?

The Chief Controller of the Facility, the Training Officer, and every Team supervisor must be held accountable.

Local procedures and letters of agreement must be reviewed for efficacy, and challenged where they consistently impose overly demanding procedures which are failing to benefit the day to day facility operation.

There is way too much tragic failure in that facility, with more yet to be visited upon the flying Public.

Back when I was a controller...well, I know of no major ATC facility which has failed this hard and this often.

ATC priorities, in order of importance: First priority is safe.
Second priority is to provide an orderly Flow.
Third is to provide an expeditious flow.

When a facility is consistently failing the 1st priority, they must be re-examined under a microscope until the solution is devised and implemented.

Failing the Safety priority can not ever be accepted. Facility Management is failing the Controllers and the public at large.

"The Chief Controller of the Facility, the Training Officer, and every Team supervisor must be held accountable."

No doubt.

Firing more air traffic controllers
while there's a hiring freeze in place
will surely make things better.

The Firings Will Continue Until Morale Improves!

Trump, on the other had, destroyed any credibility the US had and torched goodwill in less than three months.
And still managed to come across as a pathetic, uninformed, easily rattled and moronic loser.
Ask Xi.
