Sherrod Brown: Tariffs, when used with a clear and consistent strategy, are a necessary part of any economic policy that looks out for workers. But clear and consistent, Donald Trump's tariffs are not. And his domestic economic agenda does next to nothing to help workers.

Instead of ushering in a better economy where workers are the winners, he is pushing costs higher and hurting small businesses, creating uncertainty that will make manufacturers less likely to invest and create jobs here and inflicting more economic pain on the workers who put their faith in him -- all while endorsing a budget that includes a massive tax cut for the wealthiest 5 percent.

Chinese airlines are sending new 737s back to Boeing because they don't want to buy them anymore.

The new 737-TAX isn't a big seller?

The UAW supports the tariffs. I expect Fain will feign shock when the big three use them to increase automation and relocate in the anti union states.

The MAX was their biggest seller, despite all it's issues.

Yup.

Uncertainty is the anathema of corporate leaders in their planning process.

How can they make mid- and long-term plans when next month is an unknown?

Wow, there is a winning talking about after telling their liberal dipshit minions to run around screaming 'tariffs are TAXES' for the last 3 weeks. I guess this douche finally talked to some union members or looked up some old Nancy Pelosi clips on YouTube.

So, now their message has shifted to "tariffs are bad WHEN TRUMP DOES THEM" - I mean, you can't criticize Chinese tariffs when Biden just did the same thing to Chinese EVs less than a year ago unless your voters base is stupid with the memory of a goldfish - and that is what they tried to do for the last 3 weeks - shows how much they respect their base.

This is the equivalent of Kerry's - "I voted for it before I voted against it moment".

Maybe it was tariffs - maybe it was because no one trusts the DEI designed/manufactured flying shittubes that keep falling from the sky - maybe it is because Chinese air travel is plummets due to their crashing economy.

www.reuters.com

"Annual passenger yields, a proxy for airfares, fell 12.7% at China Southern, and 12.4% at Air China.
Data from China-based Flight Master shows the average domestic economy class fare in 2024 dropped by 12.1% year-on-year to 767 yuan, or about $105, squeezing profit margins.
China accounts for more than 40% of Asia-Pacific's total passenger traffic, according to airline body IATA.
International ticket prices in China were 32% lower in 2024 than in 2023, compared to 12% lower in Asia as a whole, ForwardKeys data shows."

And yes, this article was before the tariffs were announced. As I told you dipshits previously, China's economy was already collapsing - Trump's tariffs is just the final nail in the coffin.
