Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, April 27, 2025

So far, Gardiner is experiencing a worrisome start, according to Chester Evitt, the owner of Mama Bear's Armory, a local gunsmith and outdoor gear shop. Evitt said he has had only a handful of customers since January, forcing him to use his disability checks from his time as a combat veteran to pay the shop rent. Evitt said that he and his family voted for Trump, but if he could take his vote back now he would. I've been alive for 11 presidents and I haven't seen one that has been as destructive as this one," said Evitt. "These cuts are affecting our little town more than the 500-year flood."

"These cuts are affecting our little town more than the 500-year flood."

But you wanted the cuts.
You voted for the cuts.

And don't worry too much.
"Only the weak will fail!"
If you fail, you were supposed to fail.

That's why it's called America: The Land of Failure.

Go Woke or Go Broke.

Now this idiot can go bankrupt like his hero. Oh wait, he will be left with nothing unlike the Trump bankruptcies. Those are special for the rich.

This is what it's going to take. There are a lot of people starting to see just how terrible it is when you let a narcissistic psychopath run the country the way he really wants to. They need to feel the pain in order to realize how disastrous he is.

No sympathy for the victim in this story.

Trump was sold "as is" with all his non-working parts in need of expensive repairs.

No backsies!

Don't worry, Mr. Parks--your VA and SS benefits will be cut any day now. You can blame Diamond Joe Biden as you raise one of your guns to your mouth...

Guy is just an idiot.
Did he sleep though Trump's first term?
Did he not notice a million Americans dying needlessly from COVID?

No, but he survived it. Low bar for success.

There is no significance to the fact he wouldn't vote for Trump again.

There is significance to the fact he's still going to vote for the republican the next time.

Expressing guilt over Trump is not much consolation for anybody....and it has no significance either.

Eberly is right.

Republicans are little kids, you tell them don't eat all the Halloween candy or they'll get sick.

Then they eat all the candy and they're belly aching over the consequences of their own actions.

But they'll never take responsibility, just like their cult leader Trump never takes responsibility.

When you vote you're signing a covenant, an agreement, with the person you want to win.

Some idiots, like the one in this story, just never read the fine print.

There were reams of it (single spaced) in Trump's background that said he wasn't banging on all cylinders. That said he was a bad businessman. That said he was a narcissistic grifter. That said he was a pathological liar and a con artist.

Under no circumstances ever vote for a Republican.

Unless you're very rich. Period.

for president?

what about county commissioner? or district court judge?

and what about primaries?

IOW, there are plenty of elections where voting for a republican is in your best interests.

If you're a racist piece of ----, I suppose that is reasonable.

Or, if you're wealthy, I suppose that is reasonable too.

The racist explanation applies to approximately 80% of Republican voters, as 80% of jobs are bottom-tier jobs.
