Sheinbaum's hardline stance Saturday signaled that U.S. pressure for unilateral military intervention would put her and Trump on a collision course after months of cooperation on immigration and trade.

"We can work together, but you in your territory and us in ours," Sheinbaum said.
Bueno.

Doubt most folks living north of the US-Mexico border appreciate the degree to which the sagas of both nations are linked to one another, usually with the bottom line being Mexico getting screwed over one way or another. (Displaying the Alamo flag at Mexico City's Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones is small-beer consolation, albeit a sweet twist.). Trump is the very embodiment of a stereotypical loudmouthed, arrogant, and ignorant gringo incapable of showing actual respect to or for Mexican sensibilities. As is so often the case, Trump's is a deeply stupid idea and Sheinbaum is running rings around him. Eventually, I'm afraid he will realize something of that and turn on her, which is when the deeply stupid will really kick in.

Hi Doc: To appease the Dotard and avoid tariffs, President Sheinbaum already violated her country's constitution by extraditing several narco-traffickers to the US. And Trumpf's timing with this proposal to violate Mexico's sovereignty was almost perfect as tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo.

Envy is one of the seven deadly sins and I'm guilty of this peccadillo. Mexicans and Canadians elected sane and mature adults to lead them while we must suffer with the American Apollyon.

Why wouldn't she have wanted America occupying her country?

While we're at it, Mexico can become the 53rd state.

Canada being the 51st and Greenland being the 52nd.

Puerto Rico and Washington DC can wait their turns.

Trumpf's chutzpah is intergalactic. Earlier this year the Dotard denied Mexico's polite request for the US to share some water with Tijuana: globalnews.ca
