Wow... Rogers with the big story; I wondered who had posted it when I saw the listing.
I just have to say that, until now I wasn't sold on offing Big K, but since Vlad is against it, odds are I'm for it. I just wish I knew that the People of Iran, who have protested their Gov as best they could under an Authoritarian Regime, would take control of the country... but there are other bad and worse players that would likely still be in charge.

All this "regime change" talk brings to mind the unpleasant reality that for all of its firepower and endless bombast, the American military, conventional wisdom aside, has a decidedly patchy post-1945 record.

Well, if one knows the history of American involvement in the Middle East, especially how our CIA destroyed the growing Iranian democracy and installed a brutal thug, the Shah of Iran, one knows we broke it, we own it, and the utter insanity that is about to unfold. en.wikipedia.org I miss Jimmy Carter and his willingness to try hold hope high.
