... Despite the administration's claims, not a single one of those 1.4 billion dollars will lower the federal deficit unless Congress steps in. Instead, the money has been returned to agencies mandated by law to spend it. DOGE's latest figures on contract cuts ticked up to $54.2 billion in an update posted on Tuesday. POLITICO's findings come on top of months of scrutiny of DOGE's accounting, but the magnitude of DOGE's inflated savings claims has not been clear until now. Even so, President Donald Trump claimed hundreds of billions of dollars had already been used to reduce the federal deficit. The former head of DOGE, Elon Musk, initially promised the organization would reduce the deficit by $2 trillion. Many in Trump's Cabinet have also celebrated DOGE's efforts, including his secretaries of Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs and Agriculture. ...

And when Trump views info unflattering to the Trump economy it's all just fake news but was it really fake or does Trump just prefer lies that support his idiotic ideas?

Absolutely PERFECT evidence that liberals need to see. What this is complaining about is that a government agency didn't do enough because they have to depend on other government agencies. THIS is the government bloat so many talk about but so many liberals want more of. Maybe DOGE could have done more had there not been a million checks and balances blocking them. In fact, maybe more of our government agencies could be more efficient without DOGE if it wasn't for regulations and roadblocks at every turn. This article makes me believe there is hope for liberals regarding this topic. You may disagree with everything DOGE has done but now I'm seeing the unintended positive side effect where liberals are forced to actually see how their want for government bloat only makes things worse.
But also, not one person will ever convince me that saving money is a bad thing like liberals have been trying to get Americans to except since DOGE. However, the main reason I want DOGE to be successful is so that when liberals have power again, they will try to one-up Reps. And this is an instance in which one-uping is a fantastic thing instead of just a stupid partisan pendulum that only moves us backwards.

The only thing DOGE accomplished was getting Big Balls' a s s kicked and bloodied by a couple of sophmores for a photo-op that "justified" the federal takeover of our Nation's capitol.
