[T]he Senate passed the bill, acceding to Trump's demand to cancel funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides money for KUCB and stations like it all over the country that serve listeners in remote areas -- many in Alaska reachable only by plane, boat or, in the winter, ice bridge. That has left 245 public broadcasting grantees in rural communities -- including 27 stations in Alaska -- at risk of going off the air.

Is looking forward to Corporate Only News All the Time.

Not to mention Corporate Branded sidewalks, streets, highways, schools, library, parks, EMT, Fire, and Police....

Oh, wait. We already have Corporate-owned Protest Control now with the Corporate-owned President's Corporate-owned Crowd-Trained National Guard.

At least some News should be broadcast by fact-based professional journalists funded by Corporate taxes... just as should be the Public Financing of Political Campaigns, so that both are accountable to the People, not to the Corporate Super Citizens who now own all the politicians and all the news.

Mission Accomplished!

Trump Loves the poorly educated and MAGA are some of the most poorly informed people in America.

Can't let independent journalism mess with that.

you are funny.

At least six people self-identifying themselves as National Public Radio employees have collectively given $2,560 to Democrats in the past five years, according to campaign finance data.

NPR's own internal policy prohibits political contributions, but the network maintains that none of the six employees were required to abide by the ethical guidelines.

LOL sure.

If its independent then why does it need government funding, any funding would be seen in China or Russia, as propaganda, but here its "free press".

Feel free to explain rather then deflect or accuse.
