The moment government opens, the Epstein Files will be released.

Government will remain closed until that changes.

Mike Johnson, John Thune, and Dummkopf Trumpf are endangering Americans in the skies and on the ground. Food safety surveillance is still functioning, but for how long? Here are three food recalls:

USDA issues another food alert, this time for Hello Fresh spinach that may be tainted with listeria :

Thanks USDA employees for working hard for free through the Republican Party government shutdown.

And many white Americans will still vote Republican after living through this second Dummkopf Trumpf Reign of Error.

The Epstein Scandal isn't ending.

So the government is never opening up.

Here we have a model for how Trump will deal with the mid-term elections.

The polling stations will simply stay closed.

If I don't shoe up for work I don't get paid, lose my medical benefits and likely get fired. Congress needs to be held to that standard.

@ zed, elections are run by the states not the federal government.

"The Speaker of the House Is Abetting Authoritarianism:
Every Trump needs his Johnson: a flunky who will rationalize his crimes"

www.thebulwark.com

The American founders expected better leaders than Johnson. They thought Congress would check the president. They didn't think one branch would surrender completely to another.

"Have you ever voted against anything that Trump set forth, as far as policy?" a caller asked Johnson on C-SPAN.

The speaker didn't name a single thing. "I typically vote with President Trump, I do, because that's my party," he said.

And nothing Trump has done"the sham prosecutions, the threats of imprisonment, the invasions of American cities"has shaken that blind devotion.

They should not be paid.

The American government is an honor system. MAGA has no honor.

The polling stations will simply stay closed.

States run polling stations, so they'll be open.

Certain stations will have American gestapo agents there to harass and intimidate voters and they'll probably find every reason possible to force people to use provisional ballots that won't be counted ...

Then, when districts flip they'll simply not swear them in to office and will run on a skeleton crew like they are now, effectively relegating Congress to a formality.

Shutting down Congress is one thing, stopping a newly elected Representative is quite another. The first happens every few years, but the second, should never ever happen.

If you were wondering if a Republican House could be any more useless, here's your answer.
