...President Donald Trump's administration is grappling with an embarrassing setback in their plans for a recruitment surge of deportation officers, reported The Atlantic on Monday: tons of the people applying can't do the basic fitness test.

"More than a third have failed so far, four officials told me, impeding the agency's plan to hire, train, and deploy 10,000 deportation officers by January. To pass, recruits must do 15 push-ups and 32 sit-ups, and run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes," reported Nick Miroff. "'It's pathetic,' one career [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] official told me, adding that before now, a typical class of 40 recruits had only a couple of candidates fail, because the screening process was more rigorous."

Now, because Trump officials have signficantly eased the hiring process, many people who cannot do even light exercise are getting job offers that may have to be revoked or altered once they get to the training facility, said the report: "An email from ICE headquarters to the agency's top officials on October 5 lamented that 'a considerable amount of athletically allergic candidates' had been showing up to the academy; they had 'misrepresented' their physical condition on application forms. The email directed leaders at ICE's field offices to conduct preliminary fitness exams with new recruits before sending them to the academy." ...

The other problem this idiotic mass ICE recruitment caused is FLETC was forced to reduce training slots for investigators from other agencies, like the OIGs, FWS, USDA, NASA, IRS, NCIS etc. US Army began sending Counterintelligence (CI) agents to FLETC which may have been also impacted. DEA and Postal Inspectors train outside FLETC, so they were not affected, like the FBI.

Worst. Administration. Ever.

La Migra always hired well over its quota of dolts, dropouts, and bums.
Under Trump, recruitment standards have been lowered even more.
So who are they recruiting to terrorize us?
People who go armed and masked, permitted to detain and harass anyone speaking Spanish.
On Sepulveda in Los Angeles in California, north of San Diego, south of Santa Barbara, in a state with its capital at Sacramento.

They couldn't get in the military so they tried to be cops. They couldn't be cops so they tried to be prison guards. They couldn't hack it as prison guards so they joined ICE. They can't run a mile or do a pushup.

No, they didn't.

These people are just losers with high opinions of themselves and don't realize what skidmarks on society's underwear they are.

That's why they're attracted to things like neo Naziism and "trad wives." Without force, they're still just the last kids to be picked for dodge ball.

U.S. Marshall was shot by an ICE officer whose weapon discharged when he used it to smash a car window

Pedo 47's stormtroopers are pathetically incompetent.

Using a firearm to smash a car window? Tsk-tsk. Exceptionally poor tradecraft. The DUSM was lucky he or anyone else wasn't killed by the ICE dope.

Here are the requirements to join ICE. Less than for a 50 year old male to remain in the Army.
I'm 67 and routinely do more.

The PFT is a fitness test consisting of 4 timed events. Selectees must complete the following events based on strict protocols:

Sit ups: 32 sit-ups in 1 minute or less
Push Ups: 22 push-ups in 1 minute or less
Sprint: 220-yard sprint in 47.73 seconds or less
Run: 1.5-mile run in 14 minutes 25 seconds or less

And what about the cognitive tests given to applicants? I guess those without anger issues, ingrained bigotry or sadistic streaks are disqualified from service...

JFC, I'm 62 and I can easily do twice that many push-ups, half again as many sit-ups and even though I've never been a great runner, I can still match my academy mile and a half time of 11 minutes. These Gravy Seals, Meal Team Sixers are pathetic, sorry guys playing COD on X-Box makes you neither tactical nor fit. On TV I see so many of these Incel losers all kitted up, their guts hanging out, their masks hiding multiple chins. What a joke, pathetic fools many of whom will face criminal charges in the next few years. They should be nicer to the Mexicans because as soon as La eMe finds out they were ICE their lives in prison will be short and miserable.

They're probably looking for an easy way to get that $50k sign-up bonus.

US offers up to $50k bonus for would-be ICE deportation officers (August 1, 2025)
www.bbc.com

... US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, is offering recruitment bonuses of up to $50,000 (37,700) and student loan help to "brave and heroic" Americans interested in helping with the Trump administration's deportation drive.

The agency is specifically hoping to recruit deportation officers, along with attorneys, criminal investigators, student visa adjudicators and other roles.

In total, ICE hopes to add 10,000 new personnel, doubling the agency's headcount as it ramps up deportations across the country. ...
