While salvation includes questions about what happens after death, "going to heaven" is not the primary focus of the story told throughout the Bible.

Western Christianity, MAGAnites in particular, are likely to be sorely disappointed that they were more concerned about where they were going than where they are now and what they are doing now.

It's a short video, with a Transcript, and if you are not a theist, you will know more than most of them in this country know in a few minute.

But if you are, you won't be able to claim you didn't know... so perhaps you should shouldn't FAFO.

Think where you will be 100 years from now or 1000 years from now or 10,000 years or 100,000 years or a million or a billion

You were nothing 100 years ago or a 1000 years ago or 10,000 or a 100,000 or a million or a billion

You're just not that important

And your book is just a fairy tale for morons

A billion years from now or even 10,000 it will be nothing

@#5 ... You were nothing 100 years ago ...

Based upon our current view of human life i.e., where the physical body and the life that inhabits it are one and the same.

But, is that a correct view, or a view limited by what we do not yet understand?

My conclusion has the benefit of being fact based and logical and not childish

Glad to have your OPINION yet again, once more. Anyone who disagrees with it is a moron, though?

That's pretty silly, really.

I even give you Jung and South Park as examples of varying opinions. They don't think you're a moron, though. Prolly not, anyway.

@#7 ... Any other belief is a belief based on nothing ...

Nothing? Or what cannot be explained by our current knowledge?

Stated differently, if you were to transport back into the 1700's with a current smartphone... Would the existence of that smartphone be based upon a denial that it could not possibly exist, or that the knowledge was not yet present for it to exist?

So, why had the Vatican apparently been hiding evidence?

Vatican Apostolic Archive
en.wikipedia.org

... The Vatican Apostolic Archive (Latin: Archivum Apostolicum Vaticanum; Italian: Archivio Apostolico Vaticano), formerly known as the Vatican Secret Archive (Latin: Archivum Secretum Vaticanum; Italian: Archivio Segreto Vaticano),[2][3] is the central repository in the Vatican City of all acts promulgated by the Holy See.

The Pope, as the sovereign of Vatican City, owns the material held in the archive until his death or resignation, with ownership passing to his successor. The archive also contains state papers, correspondence, account books,[4] and many other documents that the church has accumulated over the centuries.

Pope Paul V separated the Secret Archive from the Vatican Library, where scholars had some very limited access, and the archive remained closed altogether to outsiders until the late 19th century, when Pope Leo XIII opened the archive to researchers, more than a thousand of whom now examine some of its documents each year.[5]

"Secret" name

The use of the word secret in the former title, "Vatican Secret Archive", does not denote the modern meaning of confidentiality. A fuller and perhaps better translation of the archive's former Latin name may be the "private Vatican Apostolic archive", indicating that its holdings are the pope's personal property, not those of any particular department of the Roman Curia or the Holy See. ...

"Any other belief is a belief based on nothing"

And as it turns out Nothing Matters.

A lot.

As it turns Nothing or "Empty" space is not empty at all; it is a dynamic, seething quantum foam with properties that are crucial to the structure, evolution, and future of the universe. Far from being inert, the vacuum of space is a fundamental component of reality.

"See" you there!

Astral projection was a thing that Anthropologist/shamanist/writer Castaneda focused on, and which I experienced briefly.

Two of my psych profs were partners in a Phantom Pain Clinic; where people suffered from, say pain in their foot after losing that leg, or in a hand after their arm was amputated.

I was a victim, er subject in a doctoral thesis experiment that taught us how to gain a very relaxed state, and manipulate things like body temperature, heart rate, and such that we were being monitored for... something that could be taught to their patients to help ease the pain.

The technique is now called Autogenic Relaxation and is quite popular today for any kind of stress.
I still practice it, along with breathing exercises like diaphragm breathing.

Controlling the body functions in a very relaxed state was not a matter of command or force, it was a matter of recognizing our feelings when we did see the needle move in the direction we wanted, then recalling those feelings to make it happen as we liked.

Sorta like Michael Jordon in a 'Zone' when shooting 3's; if you can recall how that FEELS, it's easier to do when you want.

So, one suddenly spring afternoon I was doing just that on the third floor of a tower building on campus, hooked up to the monitors, wishing I was outside in the sun... when I, my conscious self in a 'spirit' sort of shape, lifted up out of my body, flew joyously down the stairs and out into the day!

But it, unsurprisingly, freaked me out, and with a bit of a whoosh I flew even faster backwards through the doors, up the stairs and back into my body.

Sorry, no video exists!

Never tripped that much! No matter how much I tried. My brain refused to ignore reality. Fortunately for my family.

I followed Castaneda's stories for a while in the 70s. I thought he might be on to something. He was. He was making money and developing a harem or more accurately a coven.

Castaneda withdrew from public life in 1973 and maintained a high level of secrecy, using aliases and rarely allowing himself to be photographed or recorded.

It is known that Carlos Castaneda lived with a group of female followers known as "the witches" in a secretive cult that operated out of his Westwood, Los Angeles, compound. The women, many of whom were his lovers, adopted new identities and cut ties with their families.

Though I still believe his stories had merit and some measure of truth. (As much truth as you can get from mescaline. Which is quite a lot I hear.) I also understand it is quite a trickster. As was he. As most sorcerers are. Apparently.

I had pure mescal once down in central Mexico with a college friend from there and his local amigos. They kept it soaking in large jars and served in in tiny cups. It was better than eating peyote, I'll say that.

AI
"Ezekiel 23:19-21 uses graphic imagery to explain that the kingdoms of Israel (Oholah) and Judah (Oholibah) have repeatedly turned away from God to pursue foreign, pagan alliances and idolatry, which is described as spiritual adultery.

The explicit language, using comparisons to donkeys and horses, is a metaphor to emphasize the depth of their sin, their spiritual unfaithfulness, and the intense hurt this caused God, their "husband".

;;

"The verses highlight that Judah is even more corrupt than Israel because it had already witnessed Israel's downfall but still repeated the same mistakes."

Spiritual adultery: The primary meaning is that the unfaithfulness of the two kingdoms to God, their covenant partner, is like the most severe kind of adultery.

Shock value: The explicit and "shocking" imagery was used by the prophet Ezekiel to grab his audience's attention and impress upon them the severity of their sin and God's immense grief and anger."

"AI Overview
Kingdom of God Within You? "

Luke 17:21 Revisited " Life and ...

The phrase "the kingdom of heaven is within you" comes from Luke 17:21, where Jesus explains to the Pharisees that the kingdom of God is not coming with signs but is already present.

While it can be interpreted as a spiritual transformation happening inside believers, many scholars believe "within you" is better translated as "among you" or "in your midst," meaning Jesus himself was the manifestation of the kingdom of God, present in his ministry, teachings, and miracles."
