President Trump told American troops assembled in Japan on Tuesday that he was prepared to send "more than the National Guard" into cities to enforce his crackdowns on crime and immigration, further escalating how he has talked about using the military at home and abroad.

President Trump told reporters Wednesday that he has the authority to send U.S. military forces beyond the National Guard into U.S. cities, claiming not even the courts could stop him, but said that hasn't been necessary so far.

His approval ratings continue to fall, and now even some of his fellow Republicans are starting to question his actions. His response, of course, is to double down and act even more insane. He's so far out of control that clearly he must be removed from office, but we have a nation of cowards.

It is probably even money that the federal Supreme Court will support Trump using federal troops in a Martial Law way. All Trump needs is a few fires and something he can declare as an insurrection. Scary times indeed.

Well, last year SCOTUS granted Old Yeller immunity which, together with some of its other more exotically reasoned decisions, pretty much makes him a king.
