Lexington, Nebraska is the perfect location for the rotting orange chomo to hold his next klan rally.

They already are, almost 17% are below the poverty line, compared to NE 9.9%.

Of course the county voted overwhelmingly gop.
Advice: be still while the leopard eats your face.

Luckily, positions have opened up for vegetable pickers and ICE recruits.

Why aren't the MAGAts crowing about pedo 47's great economy these days?

Remember when Republicans claimed Biden was going to ban beef? Good times.

Pedo 47 is as efficient at killing jobs as he is at killing DC cops.

The article doesn't fully describe the situation. It does talk about the businesses owned by former employees but it doesn't talk employees. The problem is at these places they are already full of immigrants and not MAGA, worth noting virtually all are documented, that came specifically for jobs they could get. They typically aren't voters yet. Probably 2/3rds of the work force or more of the facility are immigrants going off what I have seen documented in articles over the years. There will be undocumented workers too.

Not really surprised that none of them want to talk about this.

Trump hasn't been a friend of this industry but this is Tyson being the greedy beef packer they are. They are dealing with a 75 year low inventory of cattle but this trend was headed here for a while.
Are any of you crying for Tyson? Really?

They want to talk about who the libs are really crying for. So yeah. Not really showing much appetite for talking about the issues.

Trump was a bad decision. Please don't take the lazy route and accuse me of defending Trump.
But what was Harris going to do to prevent this from happening?
You'll have to display your expertise in the cattle markets and beef production....and how it led to the closure of this facility.

I'm positive nobody wants to blame any of this on Biden.

"But what was Harris going to do to prevent this from happening?"
Harris would not have attacked the agricultural sector with deportations and tariffs.

You don't say.

That's not why Tyson is closing this plant. It's the reason for a ton of turmoil in the ag sector but this was going to happen regardless.

BTW, there are 2 separate packing plants operating down the road....I suspect some of these workers will get hired pretty quick.

"But in the long run, beef prices may continue to climb even higher than the current record highs " caused by a variety of factors from drought to tariffs " unless American ranchers decide to raise more cattle, which they have little incentive to do."
Harris could provide incentives for ranchers to do that. Trump... wouldn't understand where to begin even if Pinche told him personally. Ranchers are even bigger divas than farmers, that might be part of the problem here. Trump, being a Diva on a global scale, has little patience for all those small-time divas.

Here is an article on why the cattle inventory is so low and how congress could address it.

It's not a singular reason why the herd sizes have dropped but it's one of them.
