Trump claims NATO has never been there for the US. Can anyone think of an example of NATO being there for the US? Maybe around 24 years ago? Bueller? Bueller?[image or embed] -- Mueller, She Wrote (@muellershewrote.com) Jan 21, 2026 at 1:38 PM

Check out WW1 and WW2 casualties and timelines if you want them as a measure to identify a country that came very late to the conflict.
For perspective's sake, Google "Trump family military service."

Hi Doc Sarvis:
The US got off light in WWI. COVID was almost as deadly. Approximately 45,000 American soldiers died from influenza and related pneumonia, whereas combat deaths totaled about 53,402. BTW: Of all the Allied and Central Powers, the UK suffered the least amount of COVID deaths.
The Confederate Army killed more US soldiers than the Kaiser's legions.
We lost a bit more than the British in WWII, but not like the Russians, Germans, or Japanese.
BTW: I just received Virginia Guiffre's book Nobody's Girl.

"Trump Dumps on NATO Dead in Afghanistan"
Well, he thinks our own troops who died in combat are "suckers and losers."
Why should he hold foreign troops who died in defense of the U.S. in higher esteem?

No, I don't really think that Trump thinks that he will die.
I think that he thinks that he's too special to die.
When he moans about mortality, as he does sometimes, it's not because he thinks that he will croak.
It's just another way he has of demanding attention.

Mocking the war dead is pure MAGA. It's a natural step from mocking war wounds, which they have now been doing for decades.

"Mocking the war dead is pure MAGA"
Trauma that goes unaddressed become trauma that gets transferred.
All MAGA have unresolved trauma.
Mocking others is how they pay that trauma forward.

Like Rumsfeld spitting out "There will be consequences." to the Pentagon audit on September 9th, 2001?
Audit the Pentagon.

NATO is Imploding.
War among the Members is Possible.
The US is the Odd Man Out, Starting the Belligerent Posturing and Generally acting Kinda Nutso.
Trump is Repreenting Someone.
Who are they?
Names would be Nice.
Someone Benefits.

Who Wants NATO at War with itself?
Why is Trump obsessed with Physical Expansion by War?
Its almost like he's refusing to acknowledge that the US has Proper Borders.
Like he's Intent on Usurping the Western Hemisphere in Toto.
Where did he get such a Preposterous Idea?
Israel has No Offical Borders Either...

If Trump went to war with our European allies in NATO, I believe that more than htwo-thirds of the US population would be pulling for Europe to win.

Trump is a kleptofascist fan of Russia's kleptofascist dictatorship. They both see democracy and NATO to their evil desires.
How do we know? Look up Trump's personal history since he first made close ties to Brooklyn's Russian mobsters since at least the early 1970s, to his marriage to Ivana, daughter of an informant for communist Czechoslovakia's KGB-affiliated secret police, to his notorious money laundering of money for Russian mobsters.
It's very clear that if Trump put as much energy into shutting down Russia as he does into destroying NATO's and America's allies, Russia would be on its knees by now and Putin would be history.

Correction: "They both (Trump & Putin) see democracy and NATO (as dangerous threats) to their evil desires".
(I left out the word "threats" in my earlier post.)

I suppose someone else can just try to take it. But America isn't a simple butter-cookie factory.
Besides, the only reason we have it at all is because we did take it.

I don't suppose you've considered- without ww1 and subsequently a failed communist revolution in Germany followed by economic collapse- There never would have been Nazis at all.
