... in Panicked Rant Over Iran War ...

He does seem to be backed into a corner. The quick Venezuelan-like war did not turn out to be such.

And now, the Strait of Hormuz closure. Who could have seen that coming? (may be everyone except Pres Trump?)

The latest reason for my opinion is that he sent VP Vance to negotiate a "deal" to end Pres Trump's war.

That allows Pres Trump to blame VP Vance for any solution to his (Pres Trump's) war that he (Pres Trump) sees as less than satisfactory.

Pretty much the reason no one has declared war on Iran for years.

... Netanyahu said to have pushed US toward Iran escalation

Kerry also argued that Trump was influenced into starting the conflict, saying: "In this case, you have a war that is essentially fulfilling the long-held dream of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do as much damage to Iran as he is permitted to."

He said Trump was steered toward military action by Netanyahu, who, according to Kerry, had previously urged similar strikes on Iran to Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama when they were in office"both of whom rejected the proposals and declined to escalate. ...

So, no "unconditional surrender" by Iran?

So, no "unconditional surrender" by Iran?

Lewzer will settle for nothing less than a formal surrender signing ceremony, held on the flight deck of CVN-78 USS Photo Prop, anchored in the Strait of Hormuz.

I think we unconditionally surrendered their money the other day?

I haven't been paying close attention.

I'm glad Iran isn't actually doing terror things against us in retaliation.

Has a "long game" feel to it which isn't great because I'd not like to see Iran remain under the sway of the religious fanatics.

But Trump is playing right into their hands.

Yup.

Going from telling the people of Iran ~I have your backs, rise up~ to telling them ~I will obliterate you~ is not, imo, a way to garner the support of the citizens of a nation.
