... working to ensure that Democrats have an overwhelming majority in the next Congress ...
I still remain to be convinced that such a majority will occur.
The Dems seem to be getting too confident of it occurring.

snip ...
Also sharing this interview we did with Democratic National Committee (the dreaded DNC member) Maine Chair Dingman last November right after Maine Dems - with this community's support - defeated a terrible GOP ballot initiative that would have restricted voting this November

@#2 ... What have you done ...
I vote in every voting opportunity held in my town. That comes to two to five voting opportunites each year.

#1 Agreed, Lamp.
Democrats have three (3) enemies this November:
1. Overconfidence; 2. A Trump/GOP "October surprise"; and, 3. Internecine warriors.

Can't do --- about #2.
As for #3, I can understand these posters intent on destroying the Democratic Party:
shrimptacodan fortfisher oneironaut scotts robson sheepleschism visitor_ bellringer lfthndthrds thebull
I can understand why those people would want to cripple/damage/destroy the Democratic Party.
But, what is the motivation of these people...
ClownShack SpeakSoftly Caius Marcius Coriolanus
With "friends" like these ...

@#4 ... But, what is the motivation of these people... ...in their singular determination, to destroy the only viable solution to Trump, MAGA and the Republican Party ...
I think that those folk give a good reason why the Democrats should not be so giddy about the mid-term elections.
I also think that their opinions and views they express here have been helpful for me to learn.
But, that's just my opinion.

#5 "I think that those folk give a good reason why the Democrats should not be so giddy about the mid-term elections."
100% correct.
"I also think that their opinions and views they express here have been helpful for me to learn."
Perhaps.
But, take for example their favorite whipping boy, the dreaded DNC: The Democratic National Committee.
To hear them tell it, all of the faults of the country are not Trump or MAGA or the Republican Party.
Nope.
To hear them tell it, all of the faults of the country are 100% on the "DNC" and, of course, AIPAC (natch).
But, will they ever acknowledge these facts about their deraded DNC
Zohran Mamdani is a member of the Democratic National Committee. (the "dreaded" "DNC") Xavier Becerra is a member of the Democratic National Committee (the "dreaded" "DNC")

The Democratic party needs to stop being owned by the corporate America. Until they do they won't get my vote. Just sayin

If you don't, the other folks might nullify your existence.
Just sayin.

yeah, when I read the comments and learn from them, I do not necessarily look at the opinions presented, but more the facts presented.
Stated differently, I learn not from the opinions presented, but from the facts presented.
I do try to read views that present facts that run counter to my current opinions.
That is one reason why I, gasp, read Fox News articles.

#9 Yeah. The facts presented.
For example, two of the "facts" presented would seem to indicate that the voters in Georgia should not vote for Ossoff this November (too AIPAC), and the voters in Georgia shouldn't have voted for Raphael Warnock last election (also, too AIPAC).
One is left with the only conclusion that Caius Marcius Coriolanus wishes that Herschel Walker had defeated Warnock in 2022...
...And that one of these Republicans defeats Jon Ossoff this coming November.
But, I suppose in the minds of people like Caius Marcius Coriolanus, this country is better off with an AIPAC-dedicated Republican/Trump sycophant in the US Senate than with so-called AIPAC-dedicated Democrats.
Yeah.
Those facts.

Good that you put the word facts in quotes in your comment.
Facts don't "seem to indicate," facts state facts.

#11 Facts state facts...
The American Islamophobia Propaganda Action Committee (AIPAC) miserably failed against Zohran Mamdani in NYC last year and is losing against Graham Platner in Maine. We'll see how much AIPAC gangs up on young master James "No More Forever Wars" Talarico in Texas. Unfortunately, AIPAC has pretty much a lock on Georgia: #2 | Posted by C0RI0LANUS at 2026-04-10 02:27 AM

To me the facts are that the only reason to post such a thing is the wish that Herschel Walker had defeated Warnock in 2022...
Or is that some sort of new way of supporting the Democratic Party?
#12 | Posted by A_Friend at 2026-05-02 11:17 PM | Reply
@#12 ... Is that your idea of supporting the Democratic US Senators in Georgia, Lamp? ...
Really, you seem to be lowering your posts to that level?
This is a highly charged political season.
And the comment you quote just shows that aspect o it.
And, for the record, no, I do not consider what your posted as facts.
For starters, what in the world is the "The American Islamophobia Propaganda Action Committee" noted in the comment you ask is factual?
I'll say it again ... This is a highly charged political season.
Try to stay rational.

Mr. Friend. Why do you always support AIPAC candidates?
Why do you see them as the only Option?
Foreign meddling in American Politics is a very serious problem.
Israel is Not Part of the US, you know that, Right?
Israel is an Apartheid Genocide State, you know that, Right?
Why do we want a Genocidal Country influencing our Elections?
Askin' for, A Friend.

The DNC keeps supporting Candidates that Favor Israel and Middle of the road Economic policies. So called "Centrist" Democrats.
They are barely distinguishable from Moderate Republicans.
We can Do Better than That.
AIPAC needs to be Eliminated as a factor in our political life.
That would be a good first step.

Must be why the DNC went with a NAZI!

#16 Republicans routinely back Nazis.
It's an everyday thing with them.
Stephen Miller is like Geobbels reincarnated.

#17 But Democrats are worse than Stephen Miller to you, right Effete?
#20 | Posted by A_Friend at 2026-05-03 11:43 AM | Reply
No.
Democrats who lie about unconditional support for Genocide and Expansionist Wars are worse than Republicans who tell the Truth about supporting this.
I would rather have a truthful Bigot than a Lying one.
I won't support or Vote for Either.
Israel needs to Shut Up. Their interests are Not Mine.
