Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-Kentucky) health issues are affecting Congress, which is returning from recess on Monday and faces a limited number of days left before the Sept. 30 deadline to fund the government for fiscal year 2027.

And the USN is targeting black sailors with this directive:

"Sailors with shaving-related conditions will get one year of medical treatment to meet the USN's clean-shaven face standard or they will be removed from the service."

When the Soviet Union fell, the first signs that it was in such danger was that it couldn't find the money to pay the electric bills for all the military bases. One wonders if Trump and his gang are weakening the American military to that point. Time will tell.

That time may already be here.

I think it's reasonable to describe the US military effort against Iran as being fitfull.

I think that it's reasonable to attribute this not only to Trump's personal incapacity and fecklessness.

Putin and his friends frankly looted his own nation's defense capacity.

Therefore, if Plan A didn't work in Ukraine (an almost immediate Ukrainian surrender)nothing would work.
