At the moment I am reading a memoir of Charley Sheen, and I expect there to be an explosion of memoirs coming from professional military people who tried to serve their country honorably while it was led by incompetent people like Trump and Hegseth. I would love to read James Mattis' memoir of Trump's first term.
As for me, I am convinced we Americans are trapped by a Viktor Yanukovych situation. He was the Putin quisling who led Ukraine until he ran away to Russia, and administered Ukraine for the greater glory...of Putin. Trump is such a person, it sure seems to me, he is dividing us one from another and America from its allies. In Ukraine, they got rid of all those nukes and received a promise from Russia to not invade...
Russia might not try to invade America, but Poland, or some other NATO country....perhaps.
