A senior prosecutor in New York Attorney General Letitia James' office has accused his superiors of wasting taxpayer money by targeting President Donald Trump and his allies without legitimate investigative grounds, according to the New York Post. Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld made the allegations in a weekend email sent to roughly 2,000 employees in James' office, arguing that its resources were being used to pursue "convenient public enemies" instead of crimes affecting New Yorkers.

More from the cited NewsMax article ...

... Wiesenfeld did not allege that James personally gave him those instructions ...

I don't know about JPW, but I think it's an hilarious amount of hypocrisy seeing you post anything about abuse of power, considering who you support. And Newsmax? Some of the most bias, lazy reporting in the world? Gimme a break!

Maswoswe instructed him to investigate targets including Trump, Truth Social, and Hewlett-Packard without first establishing "a credible reason for targeting the organizations and individuals."

lol

Meanwhile in Trumplandia :

President Donald Trump publicly posted a message on Truth Social in September 2025 urging then-Attorney General Pam Bondi to speed up investigations and file charges against his political rivals.

Trump wrote that "nothing is being done" and demanded that justice must be served now, stating that delays were "killing our reputation and credibility".

He explicitly named former FBI Director James Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Democratic Senator Adam Schiff

The link said it was Yahoo news. I would never cite Newsmax as a source. I've read about this at some right leaning outlets but looked for a source (Yahoo News) that I though might be at least somewhat palatable for this place.

" 34 felonies to the contrary."

Likely to be overturned on appeal. Also, this is about James not Bragg.

"without legitimate investigative grounds"

^
If this were actually true, the defense would have introduced it at trial.

Just BullBringer, bringing the bull.

Ignoring all things Trump and conservatives are doing to destroy America.

Crying about Trump being held responsible for fraud.

His grandchildren will pretend they don't have a grandfather.

Like most Germans do their Nazi supporting grandparents.

Yahoo News often re-publishes content from other news sources.

When it does the original source is clearly cited, as it was for this article.

Likely to be overturned on appeal.

A crack pipe dream.

He better get it overturned. BEFORE the midterms as after that he is "likely" (I see you love that term) to lose his legislative and political backing and while lawmakers in Congress could and will launch aggressive investigations, block political nominees, and increase political pressure (and they still cannot legally undo state court verdicts) but Trumpy will be facing strong political and legislative headwinds in his battles against his perceived enemies.

Meanwhile the President of the United States is a still a Convicted Felon and an adjudicated serial sexual abuser and a twice Impeached Lewser who is currently embroiled in a Forever War and who is stuffing his pockets with ill gotten gains.

And history will record it as such. And history classes will teach it as such.

And you must be so proud.. boy.

"Likely to be overturned on appeal."

Not for valid reasons. If you or I did the same, we'd face legal repercussions.

You lie.

You literally cited Newsmax as the source when you posted the Yahoo link.
