Feds Target AI Critics as 'Foreign Agents'

Anxiety over AI and data centers is widely held, but somehow the Trump administration has convinced itself the public concern was manufactured in China. This week, in little-noticed remarks by President Trump and Justice Department warning, the administration declared war on protestors and opponents of AI, threatening "criminal liability" if they "further the propaganda or other goals of a foreign power."

His love of AI is based solely on his investments in the chip makers and companies doing the work.

Nothing else.

He is the least intelligent person I have ever heard speak. Purely greed driven and the worst person to have running the nation.

America will pay in spades for being stupid enough to put him in charge.

A lot of people on this site have been anti-fascist and anti-AI.

Trump will get around to us eventually, it's only a matter of sufficient resources.

A Blue House in Senate in November, and then quick impeachment.

For our own safety.

I guess I had the classic sci-fi idea that AI would have to become conscious for it to destroy us.

But reality is proving me wrong. AI does not have to wake up to kill people, and its doing that already.

The Singularity is just around the corner (we have already passed the event horizon) and will be here and overcome everything long before Trumpy finds us.

Just a taste of the "utopia" that Musk and his fellow AI tech bro billionaires have been promising. But we need to stay ahead of China or else they won't all become trillionaires.

Personally I don't think money is gonna be worth much after the Singularity.

Folks really just cannot understand how transformative AI will be in society and all civilizations yet.

You will all figure it out soon enough though. You won't have any choice.
