Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, June 08, 2024

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas acknowledged for the first time in a new financial disclosure filing that he should have publicly reported two free vacations he received from billionaire Harlan Crow. The pair of 2019 trips, one to Indonesia and the other to the Bohemian Grove, an all-male retreat in northern California, were first revealed by ProPublica. Last year, Thomas argued that he did not need to disclose such gifts. "Justice Thomas's critics allege that he failed to report gifts from wealthy friends," his lawyer previously said in a statement issued on the justice's behalf. "Untrue."

It was mere accident that Thomas was bribed.

If Thomas had any pride, he'd resign. Of course, if he had any pride he wouldn't have taken the $4 million.

Power corrupts. Obviously.

If he has any sense he would have taken the RV and a million dollars a year for life from John Oliver.

Judge Clarence Thomas needs to resign. Same with Alito.

They're both corrupt as fkkk and doing all they can to pervert democracy.

Clarence Thomas really is a wretched creature: an embittered self-hater with much to hate.

Yeah Clarence Thomas took $4 million in bribes

But don't let Justice Beer slide under the radar

We still don't know who paid Kavanaugh's $92,000 country club fee

& $200,000 credit card debt

& $1,200,000 mortgage

The American people deserve to know who owns this Supreme Court

... Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas acknowledged for the first time in a new financial disclosure filing that he should have publicly reported two free vacations he received from billionaire Harlan Crow. ...

Were the interests of that donor at any time present before Justice Thomas?

Were the interests of any other "donors" to Justice Thomas present at any time before the Justice?

If the answer to either of the questions above is, "yes."

Did he recuse himself?

If the answer to that question is "no" then, I'll be kind, why not?
