Chiefs Face Eagles in Super Bowl 0x3B

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the 2025 Super Bowl for a rematch. Super Bowl LIX will be the Chiefs' third consecutive appearance in the championship game -- having won the last two and looking for the ever illusive "three-peat" -- while the Eagles will be looking to win their second title in franchise history.

Zzz. No desire to watch people get brain damage while other make money on their loss. Caveman games!

Just do a little research on CTE, and understand that the day that when the brain damage from CTE can be diagnosed in a living person is the day football is outlawed in high schools as the child abuse that it is.

I can't believe the Bills are still losing these games. It's like the Chiefs are a cat toying with a mouse.

I had the privilege of being at the Chiefs/Bills game.

totally awesome.

There's always that one that thinks they are always so intellectually above something. The amount of strategy and gamesmanship that is in football is amazing. The fact that you see it as just caveman games is more telling about you than the game.

"I can't believe the Bills are still losing these games. It's like the Chiefs are a cat toying with a mouse."

The Bills, especially Josh Allen tried hard, but the Chief's defense was unbeatable.

I don't see the Chiefs losing. The NFC is nowhere near the caliber of the AFC. Eagles will be out matched in every way. Eagles offense will be stopped by the Chiefs defense and the Eagles defense will not pose a proper for KCs offense

Vegas disagrees. The Chiefs are only opening as 1.5-point favorites. Kansas City has to stop Saquon Barkley to win and he's been running all over everybody.

Barkley has to be ecstatic after all those wasted years at the G'ints

He's certainly playing like he is. 'Member a couple of years ago (barely) when running backs were passe, and it didn't matter who you had?

That didn't last long. Lots of older 'retread' backs looked pretty good this year.

If KC can slow him down even, they'll likely win.

#14 | Posted by Corky at 2025-01-27 04:42 PM

yesterday was no bets.....nfc was chalk and afc was too close to call....just not enough to lay enough.

but couple above are right on....Barkley.....imagine if he hadn't wasted so much time with the giants.

Peyton / Sanders and dickerson probably would all be looking up ( ignoring the fact of season now longer )

this one ?.....not sold on a 3-peat UNLESS Barkley had given even a hint that he could be stopped.....until the game

was basically decided.....

----throw in the FACT that the eagle offensive line may be the best O-line in NFL history.....and I think it's gonna be "fly eagles fly "

BUT.....you underestimate the kid from Whitehouse ( East Texas ) at your own risk....or the coach's kid from Southeast Texas ( Channelview )

too for that matter.

NOW ....WHAT ABOUT THE SUPPER BOWL PARTY MENU ?????

I'm a KC fan so I hope the referee's don't take advantage of the the free Lasik.

LOL! I gut-laughed at the idea of fixing the blind refs in the NFL ;)

I wish the Eagles let Barkley earn the regular season rushing record in Week 17.

Yes, I know the original record was set in a 16-game season and it isn't the same.

There will be some guy who eventually breaks Eric Dickerson's "single season rushing yards title" in 17 or 18 game regular season and unfortunately it might not be Barkley, whereas Saquon has had a Offensive MVP caliber season this year in 2024-2025...

How many guys on a team earn a Super Bowl appearance or win?

There is only one all-time regular season rushing leader, and that stat is forever.

#20 | Posted by GOnoles92 at 2025-01-27 07:43 PM

Emmitt.

#21 | Posted by Corky at 2025-01-27 09:00 PM

That may be the funniest thing I've ever seen Legally write.

#22 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-01-27 10:42 PM

"Kansas City has to stop Saquon Barkley to win and he's been running all over everybody."

They've stopped Derrick Henry multiple times. That said, Reid obviously thinks he has to get cute near the goal line, while the Eagles are the polar opposite of "cute".

I'll take the Eagles and the points.

"There is only one all-time regular season rushing leader..."

Meh. Rules change, seasons get longer...I'd pick Jim Brown.

Chiefs and Refs vs Eagles.

Certainly a game to skip.

Football fans are too destructive, obnoxious and rude to be real. It's perhaps informative that these are the people who oppose Pride parades..

Someones never been to a hockey game.

#29 | Posted by lfthndthrds at 2025-01-28 01:42 PM

I'm skipping this borefest as the NFL is tainted in favor of a few players and teams. Mahomes and KC are one of those players and teams respectively. Sad state of affairs.

It looked like a million people celebrating in the streets. Seriously, I wouldn't doubt that count.

Dancing on moving police cars requires pasties and hot pants, to my parade knowledge.

Yeah, it be like that sometimes.

Reid has everybody healthy at the right time, mostly. The O Line is still a bit suspect. Chiefs have been incredibly lucky this year. Spent my first 45 years in KC. Saw Dawson's Chiefs beat Jack Kemp's Bills in old Municipal Stadium.
Philly has Barkley. Hurts is playing well. It's a revenge game.
I got a sneakin' suspicion KC's luck runs out.

If KC can hit some deep passes for the first time all year, however, ...

#34 | Posted by morris at 2025-01-28 10:48 PM

My first time at Arrowhead, I was driving back to KC from St. Louis, while listening to the Chiefs game. KC was getting shellacked at halftime, something like 35-0. Arrowhead is right off I-70, so I thought I'd stop at the stadium and watch the second half. All the security around the entrances had long left, and I just walked in as if I'd left something in the car. I'm sure one couldn't do that these days.

Anyway, the second half was all Chiefs. I think they got the game close before ... losing, as usual. Maybe 1977. A 2-12 year.

Many more concerts at Arrowhead than football over the years. Stones/Eagles, CSNY/Beach Boys, Elton John "Yellow Brick Road" tour, Willie Nelson Picnic w/Grateful Dead, ...
