... " a move that he felt wasn't properly coordinated with the White House, ...

... or, was it properly coordinated, and Pres Trump just forgot about that coordination?

Realizing he is pooping himself surprises Trump too.

So... the National Security Council was out of the loop on this decision by Sec Hegseth?

Why?

Maybe this?

National Security Council (NSC)

... The National Security Council (NSC) advises the President on national security and foreign policy.

But when I click on the www.whitehouse.gov link for the NSC, I see this ...

Pres Trump's DOGE strikes again? This time with national security implications?

On the other hand, there's this ...

White House struggles to hire senior advisers to Pete Hegseth (June 9, 2025)
www.nbcnews.com

... The White House is looking for a new chief of staff and several senior advisers to support Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after a series of missteps that have shaken confidence in his leadership, but it has so far found no suitable takers, according to four current and former administration officials and a Republican congressional aide.

Top Defense Department jobs, including the defense secretary's chief of staff, are normally considered prestigious and typically attract multiple qualified candidates. Butat least three people have already turned down potential roles under Hegseth, according to a former U.S. official, the defense official and a person familiar with the matter.

Vice President JD Vance and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles have taken an active interest in finding ways to help Hegseth after he abruptly suspended two handpicked senior aides in April, accusing them of leaking classified information in a Fox News interview. Soon afterward, Hegseth announced the removal of his chief of staff on Fox News and a senior press aide resigned, writing later that Hegseth's office was in "total chaos." ...

So, is it Sec Hegseth's apparent lack of senior aides to help guide him, or is it just Sec Hegseth's apparent incompetence, or ...?

i wish I knew.

But what I will say is that a democratic ally of the US is being subject to an unprovoked invasion, and the Trump admin seems to be waffling, almost, it seems intentionally trying to help Pres Putin's invasion.

Bertrand has been involved in so many hoaxes. I don't trust her reporting. She almost always relies on anonymous sources.

I'd like to see another outlet corroborate this reporting.

Hannity et al hasn't weighed in yet, but give them some time.

#11. I know you were being funny.

As for Hannity, I trust him less than I trust Bertrand.
