Democrats shouldnt back government shutdown

Nearly two-thirds of American voters say that the Democrats in Congress shouldn't force a federal government shutdown if their demands are not met, according to a new national poll.

Democrats need to be seen as fighting for the medical welfare and security of millions, Democrats and Republicnas.

When you click on the hyperlinks for said Biden era programs it doesn't take you to anything other than other Fox news articles that provide zero facts.

The GOP wanted the government to shut down.

They refused to negotiate at all with the democrats.

Trumps little johnson sent his members home on vacation.

Do I want the government shut down? No.

But their promise to deal with the repeal of ACA subsidies with a later bill is just a lie. They have no intention of giving up what they have been trying to do for the past 15 years.

Interestingly, Van Jones made a similar argument last night that Democrats shouldn't have let the government shut down, but his reasoning was that allowing Republicans to take away health care subsidies for lower income people would help Dems in the mid-terms, because of the pain it would cause. That's easy for someone like Van Jones to say, who wouldn't feel that pain. And if they let the core of the ACA get canceled, it's probably not coming back any time soon, certainly not under the current administration.
