It's easy to assume the cartels will recruit through coercion when cash doesn't work.
I've always doubted that the U.S. strikes are much of a deterrent at all. If anything, it hurts our side because we look terrible, which in turn helps the cartels and Maduro's regime. This story proves it, imo.
Ignoring the abhorrent moral implications, these strikes are just bad strategy.

Apparently, we have the ability to locate and destroy these boats.
However, no one asking the obvious question:

WHY IS THERE NO INTERCEPT AT THE DELIVERY LOCATION?

Is it too "inconvenient" to actually obtain evidence of what is involved and by whom?
Wouldn't finding out where the contraband goes and capturing who receives it be useful?
Wouldn't that approach much more effectively disrupt the supply chain?
