"The congressman also wants to know if Maxwell or one of her reps reached out to Trump about getting a pardon or reduced sentence in exchange for her silence. Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence in federal prison after she was convicted of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors.

In his letter, Ro notes that Maxwell previously met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to discuss the Epstein matter without invoking the Fifth, calling her sudden U-turn on the topic "inconsistent."

I do wonder why Trump hasn't pardoned her by now. Sure, he would take a hit, ballot box wise, but then she could go off and not say anything to anyone ever again, or, I suppose she could tell the truth with no recriminations..oh right, that is why she cannot have a pardon right now.

The supreme court said that DJT can have a political opponent assassinated by seal team 6. He could openly order her assassinated without legal repercussion. We would all have to watch and the pedo republicans would applaud Trump's bold move of ordering a murder to protect pedophiles.

My understanding is that she took a ~blanket 5th,~ meaning that she refused to answer any questions on the ground the answers may incriminate her.

Question: if Pres Trump eventually gives her a pardon or clemency, can she then testifty without worrying about self-incrimination?

I am not a lawyer, so I readily admin that have not a clue about the answer to that question.

She was behind bars but then, after Dep AG Blanche talked with her for hours, she was moved to a Club Fed facility where she seems to be treated as if she were in a upscale hotel.
