The DNC says Biden ignoring the genocide in Gaza cost Harris the election. See link...
Hi JPW
How is the Democratic Party going to get these millions of "self-righteous idiot progressives" to vote on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026 for candidates that support ethnic cleansing in Gaza and military aggression against Muslim countries in the Middle East?
There are millions of people in the antiwar bloc, a movement as old as the American Revolution itself, that need convincing to see things your way.
These Samaritans of all faiths, as well as atheists, belong to these groups: en.wikipedia.org
I was unable to join one of these associations because I would have to sign a declaration renouncing all war.
In good conscience, I couldn't do that because Palestinians and Ukrainians have a right to defend themselves from aggression.
A wonderful young lady named Hannah Shvets beat a good-for-nothing Republican landlord for a seat on the Ithaca city council.
A member of the Communist Party, Hannah ran on the Democratic Party ticket.
Result: One less status quo dinosaur to deal with in upstate NY.

Pragmatism versus Principles.
Some people are more pragmatic, some people are more principled.
One of the few books I didn't read but saw the film was The Boys from Brazil (1978).
At the end of the movie, the pragmatic young Nazi hunter wants the list of cloned Adolf Hitlers from the elderly Simon Wiesenthal-type Nazi hunter who painstakingly compiled it.
When the elderly man played (by the immortal Laurence Olivier) asks the younger man what he was going to do with the list of 88 or so clones, the younger man says he and his organization will eliminate them one at a time to prevent another Holocaust (AKA XJK).
The principled elderly Nazi hunter asks, "What, no trial, no examination, no mercy?" [sic]
"Nope."
Please fast forward to 1:58 for the hospital scene and exact wording: www.youtube.com
I always feel like lighting up myself watching this scene (like right now).
"Pragmatism versus Principles," albeit in a fictional setting.
