BTW you can dislike those regimes as I do. But you cannot deny the importance of these countries to our national security.

"Trump Didn't Expect Iran to Hit the Gulf States"

Trump didn't expect Ivana to resist getting forcibly penetrated without her consent.

When she did, he pulled her hair so violently that he tore away part of her scalp.

And that's why Republicans identify with Trump.

The man is insane

His justification for the war is back to Iran can't have a nuclear weapon.

Which begs the question

What steps will he take to assure they don't build one assuming the bombing campaign does not reach that objective?

Is it comforting that tomorrow he will have another justification? I don't know any more

The following are some of his remarks:

Trump has claimed if he didn't "decimate" Iran's nuclear programme, "they would have had a nuclear weapon within one month after that bombing took place, and they would have used it on first Israel and then the Middle East."
"A nuclear war that would have evolved into World War III, and more important, this is a war that there would have been nothing left," Trump said adding that "we've done a great thing."
"Iran should not have a nuclear weapon. They should not have it. They have no navy, they have no air force. They have no anti-aircraft weapons. They have no leadership."
"My biggest problem is I have no idea who we're talking to because nobody ever heard of any of these people, they're all dead."

"We did a job for the world, not a job for us, for the whole world."

So, we need to seize their fissile material, right?

"Nobody expected that. We were shocked. The greatest experts, nobody thought they were going to hit."

Considering they fired all the actual experts.

Who is he talking about?

Kushner? Hegseth? Rubio? Perhaps it was Ron Vara.

The voices in his head.

The Sunni Arabs and Persian Shias have a long rivalry, now punctuated over oil wealth.

Many of these Gulf States have Shia minorities which are oppressed, like the Houthi tribe

The Iranian people's revolution of 1979 continues to pose a threat to the Sunni Arab Gulf emirates and Saudi Arabia.

CIA, DIA, CENTCOM J2 all knew that Shia Iran would retaliate against the Sunni Gulf States that host US military bases and do everything they can to undermine one of the few non-monarchies in the Middle East-- which is also a petro-competitor.

Moreover, the Iranian theocracy exposes the hypocrisies of the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia.

I watched caravans of wealthy Saudis drive across the King Fahd Causeway into Bahrain to drink, gamble, and whore around on the weekend.

The pious Iranian leadership doesn't do that.

This causeway was recently struck by an Iranian drone.

Poor hypocritical Saudis can't booze it up safely in Bahrain now.

Trump supporters, I have a question to ask of you.

What would your reaction had been if Joe Biden started a war with another country which resulted in friendly nations being attacked and Biden claimed no one had any idea the attacked nation would respond in such fashion even though the attacked nation has done exactly that in the past and publicly warned the world they would do it if attacked again?

Would you be saying that Biden was incompetent? Would you claim that dementia clouded his mind to the point where he could not be trusted to make national security decisions? Would you claim he had allowed US intelligence to degrade to a point where the administration was putting the country at risk? Would you be calling for his removal from office?

I ask this question because what I described is exactly what has happened with Iran only the president is named Trump instead of Biden.

In June of 2025 Iran attacked Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries after the US bombed locations purported to be nuclear facilities. In January of this year, it was widely reported that Iran publicly warned other nations in the region that they would strikes within their countries if attacked by the US. In response, Qatar very publicly let it be known that US resources were being moved out of Udeid Air Base in an effort to dissuade Iran from striking it. Despite that, Iran attacked the base a week ago.

There is no way he wasn't told this was a distinct possibility.

So he's letting US intelligence take a beating instead of himself. Go figure.....

I'm sure they fired the people who said as much.
